In 2017, Valderrama led the ship for Augusta as the GreenJackets played their final season at Lake Olm- stead. The previous three seasons he managed in the Dominican Summer League. This year will mark his 12th season as a coach in the organization, as the former Giants outfielder served as a hitting coach for the summer team for six seasons prior to being Manager.
