Stadium Seating:

Row 1 is closest to field. Prelims (August 11) will have the 500 and 600 level closed off except for TV. All Levels will be open for Semis and Finals All Sections right of 50-yard line in diagram have seat #1 closest to the 50. All Sections left of 50-yard line in diagram have higher # seats closest to 50. Section 140, 240, 340, 440, 540, and 640 are split by the 50-yard line ADA seating is located in top row of the following sections: o 132, 135, 137, 138, 140, 142, 143, 145, and 148 o 331, 335, 341, 344, 345, and 349 o 531, 535, 539, 541, and 545

Corps Staff Viewing located in Section 141, rows 1-4, seats 13-20 for all nights – these seats are accessible from field level. There are also 10 standing spots available at the top of section 140.

Corps Member and Staff seating will be located in Section 631 - 633 of the stadium until further notice. Could change if sales go off the chart and need to sell locations. In event that happens, Corps kids will be moved to End Zone lower level.

2017 Rain Plan 1. Corps brass and battery unload at the Convention Center loading dock one hour and 45 minutes before step-off. You have 17 minutes to unload.

2. Pits will still unload at the stadium. They will enter through the Corps Exit tunnel to get into the stadium and go to the warm-up areas.

3. The pits will have a separate schedule from those in the Convention Center. You will be directed to the warm-up area when you enter the stadium. Please do not enter the stadium with your pits until your assigned times. We do not have room for pits to pass each other in the tunnels.

4. All podiums and props will still enter through the Missouri St. ramp and will be staged in Exhibit Hall 1 on the Event Level of Lucas Oil Stadium. Plan on the extra time needed if you have to have performers go to Exhibit Hall 1 to pick up props, etc. You may leave the Convention Center early if you need to get to the Exhibit Hall to move them.

5. DCI parking staff will manage unloading at the loading dock at the Convention Center. Please do not arrive before your assigned time! Space is limited to unload.

6. After unloading, proceed to your assigned hall on the schedule – either Hall J or Hall K. DCI staff will escort you to the correct hall when you are ready.

7. You will have 68 minutes in the hall. There is room to stretch/march/play. Be respectful of how you set up so everyone may have a productive warm-up.

8. 20 minutes prior to step off, please begin heading to the stadium via the Convention Center and the underground connector. We suggest that you walk the route during your warm-up time to make sure you see it and get a feel for the time that it will take. It is important that you leave the warm-up area in performance order. We do not have room to have two drum corps in the tunnel at the stadium.

9. No doctor beat or amplification are allowed in the warm-up area. Please be respectful of being in a large, boomy facility and of each other.

10. When exiting after your performance, you will have time to catch your breath before heading up the exit ramp, but please do not block the ramp since pits, props, etc. are entering there as well.

What to wear? Age outs should be in full uniform. No head gear or gloves.

Where and when to meet? Please assemble in the North end zone seating area. You can access this area by entering from the North Plaza, behind the big Horseshoe Stage in the marketplace. You should be in the North end zone seating area by the final corps performance of the evening.

Please wait until the DCI Event Staff member gives you the go ahead to leave the stands and enter the field. While on the field, please be respectful. You will be on camera and representing your corps and Drum Corps International.

It is critical to the stadium field maintenance department that we DO NOT do anything to damage the field (stick things into the turf, paint or pour anything, including powder, bubbles or ANY other substance) or throw things into the stands.

The age-out “A Season in Review” video will be played after all members are on the field. Following a brief announcement by Dan Potter, the handing out of the commemorative pins by the Hall of Fame members will occur. The Emcee will then thank you for all of your participation in the activity, the final score of the evening will be announced, and then you will be released.

Welcome to the 2017 DCI Street Beat 5K run/walk supporting the Marching Music Heath & Wellness Project that will take place in downtown Indianapolis as a part of the Drum Corps International World Championships week. The 2017 DCI Street Beat 5K will take off at 8:00 am on Saturday, August 12th.Check-in and begin the race at Indianapolis’ beautiful Military Park and head through the downtown streets and parks to complete the race at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Since its inception in 2007, the Drum Corps International-sponsored Marching Music Health and Wellness Project (MMHWP) has succeeded in bringing together health care professionals from varied disciplines to provide medical guidance and hands-on assistance to corps members during the DCI Summer Tour.

With an initial focus on injury prevention and treatment, participation in the project has grown from a handful of volunteer contributors to an expansive network of practitioners throughout the United States. The program is now poised to serve an even greater audience of performing arts athletes with development of “best practices” already impacting the marching band activity nationally and internationally with continued research and medical expertise.

GOODBYES Please start your goodbyes when leaving Lucas Oil Stadium since buses may not sit at the terminal’s curb.

WATCH YOUR BELONGINGS AT ALL TIMES Make sure you do NOT leave your belongings unattended (purse, book bag, suitcase, etc.). Airport Police and the Transportation Security Administration consider unattended items a huge security threat. Please ask a volunteer or DCI member to watch your belongings if you want to leave them for a short time. Thank you!

HANG OUT AREA Your hang out area is the north end of baggage claim. There are restrooms, benches, and plenty of room to spread out. This helps our 3rd shift staff with trash removal, restroom cleaning, overall terminal cleanliness, etc. If you leave this area, please ask someone to watch your stuff. You can go to the Ticketing Hall to line-up for airline check-in at 4 a.m. Floors will be under cleaning until then.

SMOKING This is a non-smoking and non-vaping facility. There will be a $75 fine for non-compliance.

TSA security checkpoints open at 4:15 a.m. Make sure all liquids over 3 ounces are in your checked luggage and put items less than 3 ounces in a clear, plastic baggie.
