CABINET SECRETARIAT (Department of Perooniel) New Delhi, the 21st August 1971 S.O. 3521.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5) of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Com- ptroller and Auditor-General, in relation to persons serving in the Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby mares the following rules further to amend the (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1985, namely :— 1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Classification, Con- trol and Appeal) (First Amendment) Rules, 1871. In the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, after rule 35, the Schedule hereto annexed shall be inserted. 3. (1) On and from the commencement of the Central Civil Services (Classifi- cation, Control and Appeal) (First Amendment) Rules, 1971, the Schedules to the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957 and the Civilians in Defence Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1952, as amended from time to time; and in force immediately before such commencement by virtue of rule 33 of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, shall cease to be in force, (2) Such cesser shall not affect— the previous operation of any notification or order madeo r anything (a) done, or any action taken by any authority, under any of the said Schedules; any proceedings taken by any authority in pursuance of any of the said (b) Schedules and pending immediately before the commencement of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) (First Amendment) Rules, 1971, and any such proceedings shall be continu- ed and disposed of in accordance with the relevant Schedule.
