Directions To Direction and Information for The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown 35 West Chelten Avenue Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19144 (215) 843-8811 www.fpcgermantown.org The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown (FPCG) is located a few hundred feet west of the intersection of Germantown and Chelten Avenues in the heart of the Germantown business section of the City of Philadelphia. Parking in the area is limited. CAR POOLING AND USING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS STRONGLY ADVISED. For interactive map: www.fpcgermantown.org/contact-directions/ PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SEPTA bus route 65 stops directly in front of the FPCG east parking lot. SEPTA bus routes K, J 23 and 26 at the corner of Germantown and Chelten Avenues, which is a few steps from FPCG. SEPTA bus routes H and XH stop at the corner of Greene Street and Chelten Avenue, one block west of FPCG. SEPTA bus route 53 stops at the corner of Wayne Street and Chelten Avenue which is 2 blocks west of FPCG SEPTA Regional Rail: Chestnut Hill West Line Chelten Avenue station is three (3) blocks west of FPCG. Go up the stairway to Chelten Avenue and go east (left). SEPTA Regional Rail: Chestnut Hill East line Germantown Station is 1 ½ blocks east of FPCG. Go down the stairway to Chelten Avenue and go west (left). PARKING INFORMATION Handicapped parking is available on the Church’s parking lot on the west side of the church building. Entrance and use of this lot will be restricted on the day of the meeting. A larger church lot is available on the east side of the church (closer to Germantown Avenue). This will be available on a first come, first serve basis and closed when it is filled. Alternative parking at the street: West Chelten Avenue: Both sides of the unit block (between Germantown Avenue and Greene Street) Greene Street: Between W. Chelten Avenue and Rittenhouse Street. For both these sections place a note on your dash, readable from the outside, indicating that you are attending a meeting at The First Presbyterian Church and you will NOT need use the meter or follow the time limits. Also, the parking lot for the Germantown Life Enrichment Center, 5722 Greene Street is available for parking for this meeting. DRIVING INFORMATION From the South and West Philadelphia area: Take the Schuylkill Expressway (I76) west (toward King of Prussia) to the Lincoln Drive exit. Follow signs Take Lincoln Drive to the first traffic light (Rittenhouse Street) and turn right. At the next light, turn right on Wissahickon Avenue. At the next light (Chelten Avenue) turn left. Proceed on Chelten Avenue for 4 ½ blocks. The church is on the left. From Northeast Philadelphia and the Eastern Bucks County area: Go south on U.S. Route 1 (Roosevelt Blvd.) to the Fox Street exit (almost to the Schuylkill Expressway (I76) juncture). Right turn on Fox Street to the stop sign. Make a right turn on Queen Lane and proceed for two blocks to the traffic light (Wissahickon Avenue). Left turn on Wissahickon to the third light (Chelten Avenue). Right turn on Chelten Avenue and proceed 4 ½ blocks. The church is on the left. From Delaware County and Western Montgomery County area: North on I476 (Blue Route) to the Schuylkill Expressway (I76). East on the Schuylkill to, on your left, the Lincoln Drive exit. Turn left at the end of the ramp and follow signs to Lincoln Drive, then to the first traffic light (Rittenhouse Street) and turn right. At the next light, turn right on Wissahickon Avenue. At the next light (Chelten Avenue) turn left. Proceed on Chelten Avenue for 4 ½ blocks. The church is on the left. From Eastern Montgomery County area: South on Route 309 or on Easton Road to Limekiln Pike. Right on Limekiln Pike to Wyncote Avenue. Right on Wyncote Avenue, which becomes Chelten Avenue. Continue on Chelten Avenue to the church, which is just beyond Germantown Avenue on the right. .

    Contact: Kelly Greene Public Information Manager SEPTA Announces New Regional Rail Schedules Effective Sunday, January 24; Wilmington/Newark Line Extended PHILADELPHIA (January 20, 2021) – SEPTA is advising customers that some changes are being made to select Regional Rail schedules starting next week. These uPdates will imPact the Chestnut Hill East, Fox Chase, Lansdale/Doylestown, Manayunk/Norristown, Trenton, and Wilmington/Newark Lines. New timetables will go into effect on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Below are some highlights of the upcoming service adjustments: • Wilmington/Newark o SEPTA will reintroduce service to Churchman’s Crossing Station and Newark Station beginning on Monday, January 25, 2021. These train extensions are sponsored by the state of Delaware and will provide public transit options during the closure and reconstruction of Interstate 95 between February 2021 and calendar year 2023. Restore the Corridor Wilmington is a significant DelDOT transportation project along the I-95 corridor in Wilmington that will make the repairs needed to extend highway and bridge life for an additional 30 years. • Manayunk/Norristown o Some trains on the Manayunk/Norristown Line will be cancelled or depart earlier or later than normal due to the following projects: § High level station Platform construction work will continue at Conshohocken Station as part of the Conshohocken Station Improvement Program. This project includes the construction of a new, fully ADA accessible station with additional parking, bike facilities, and passenger shelters. § Construction work for the Norristown Slope Stabilization Project will begin between Miquon Station and Spring Mill Station. This project will help prevent substantial erosion and track washouts, which can cause service delays and/or suspensions.

    Contact: Andrew Busch Chief Press Officer Independence Blue Cross to Sponsor FREE Market-Frankford & Broad Street Line Rides for Eagles Championship Parade on Thursday, Feb. 8 Significant Service Adjustments, Including Limited Regional Rail Stops, Will Be In Place PHILADELPHIA (February 6, 2018) – To help fans celebrate the Eagles Super Bowl LII victory, SEPTA has partnered with Independence Blue Cross to offer free rides on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines during the Championship Parade on Thursday, Feb. 8. SEPTA will also make significant service adjustments, including limited stops on Regional Rail for service to-and-from Center City. The parade will begin at the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia, continue north on Broad Street to City Hall, and then onto the Benjamin Franklin Parkway toward the Philadelphia Museum of Art. To better control crowds with available personnel, and to allow for more efficient service, SEPTA will consolidate stops on rail lines. Regional Rail will operate inbound-only in the morning and outbound- only after the parade. Below are highlights of the major service adjustments for parade day. Riders are urged to check the special Eagles Parade section of SEPTA’s website for more details at http://www.septa.org/eagles. Free Rides on Market-Frankford & Broad Street Lines The Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines are the best options for travel to-and-from the parade. Thanks to support from Independence Blue Cross, rides on both lines are free on Thursday. (Please note that regular fares apply for all other SEPTA services.) The Market-Frankford Line provides access to Center City from many suburban communities via 69th Street Transportation Center, with connections to the Norristown High Speed Line, the Routes 101 and 102 Trolley Lines, and multiple bus routes.
