You will check in to the hotel again on the evening of August 7. BORDER TOWN NARVA 7.00 Departure by bus to Narva Narva is the third largest city in Estonia. It is an important cultural and tourist centre on Estonia’s eastern border, which is also the easternmost border of the European Union. Narva is a unique city, which has for centuries been a border crossing and melting pot for different nations and states. 9.00 – 10.00 Visit to the Saka Manor and North-Estonian coastal cliff Saka Manor – the pearl of the North-Estonian coastal cliffs. It is a place high up on the limestone bank, where natural and cultural heritage meet: the mansion in neo- renaissance style has risen from its previous ruins and the limestone bank chosen as one of the Estonian national icons. 11.00 – 13.45 Visit to Narva Town Hall and the College of the University of Tartu. Friday, 7th August UNIVERSITY CITY TARTU Tartu is the second largest city in Estonia. Tartu is a unique university city with a young population. Requirements Fluent English; 20-30 years of age; recently graduated or last year student of journalism; ability to free yourself from work and studies during the period from 2nd to 9th of August. The Estonian MFA covers the following costs for the participants Return tickets to Tallinn from the participant’s hometown; a single room in a hotel in Tallinn with breakfast and a twin room with breakfast during the trip out of Tallinn on Aug. 6 and 7, two or three meals per day; the daily programme (incl transport ). Certificate Each participant will be awarded a certificate on behalf of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Feedback Each participant is asked to fill in a questionnaire aimed at evaluating the content and quality of the course.
