Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) was founded in 1958. Its main focus is on engineering programs; at the same time, it offers well developed programs in science, humanities, economics, management, law and arts.

The university is located in Ma’anshan, Anhui Province, a “National Garden City” with a convenient transportation to Nanjing(18 mins) and (120 mins) by high speed trains. Ma’anshan stands by the River, the longest river in , full of natural and cultural heritages, while iron and steel industry breeds its modern development.

AHUT is a key institution of higher learning in Anhui Province, one of the 100 key universities in central and western China with priority support from the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE), and also a higher institution implementing MOE’s “Outstanding Engineering Education Project”.

AHUT consists of 2 campuses, covering a total area of 1.64 million square meters. The university has 17 schools with 74 bachelor-degree programs, 59 master-degree programs, and 6 doctor-degree programs. The university has 20,000 full-time undergraduates and 2,300 full-time graduates, including international students.

3. Admission Procedure s

3.1 Admission Requirements

1）Minimum GPA required is 3.0 out of 4; 2）Exchange students are expected to have sufficient English or Chinese proficiency for daily communication and course instruction either in Chinese or English in class 3) Good health condition

3.2 Required Application Documents

1) Application form (Attached file 1); 2) Scanned copy of passport being valid till the end of September of the application year at least; 3) Previous academic transcript authorized by home university authority; 4) Official recommendations from the home university; 5) Medical check report (Attached file 2); 6) English / Chinese language certificate if any. 7) E-photo of passport size

3.3 Application Steps

1) Make sure that the courses you want to study at AHUT are instructed in the language you are capable of. If your Chinese language proficiency is not sufficient enough for you to study together with Chinese students, please check the attached file 3 to see whether there are majors and courses instructed in English before you decide to make the application. 2) Download the application form; 3) Fill in the application form with signature. 4) Prepare the required application documents ; 5) Scan the signed application form and other application documents, and then send them to the coordinator in your home university. 6) The coordinator of applicants' home university sends the application forms and documents of all students to the coordinator of AHUT exchange program for international students. (Deadline: June 10th.)

3.4 Admission Process

1) AHUT receives the application forms and documents from the coordinators of partner universities.

3 / 5 http://en.ahut.edu.cn/ Email: [email protected] Tel: +86-555-2311023//2311691/2315905 2) AHUT Admission Committee members evaluate the application documents and make interview with the applicants if necessary (June 11th ~July 10th). 3) AHUT releases the results of evaluation and sends the name list of admitted students to partner universities. 4) AHUT delivers the paper documents of admission to coordinator of students exchange program of partner universities (July 11th ~July 31st).

All fees are paid in CNY or USD. 2) Accommodation conditions: Bedrooms are furnished with bed, desk, bookshelf, refrigerator, air conditioner, wardrobe, private bathroom and balcony. On each floor, there are public kitchen and dining rooms, coin-operated washing machines. Accommodation fee does not include the electricity and internet fees. 3) Fees might be revised according to the actual world economic situation every year.
