May 2012 Marketing & LEADERSHIP Technology Chair My name is Maci Mitchell, and I am the newly FELLOWSHIP appointed Marketing and Technology Chair for the I-I District. I am a sophomore at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, but I am originally from the town of Sterling and will probably never be fully used to suburbia. I am majoring in sociology with minors in global studies and history of ideas. I have SERVICE been involved in Circle K since fall term of my freshman year and was my club’s secretary for the past year. In addition to being on the district board, I am also the new president of my club and am very excited for all the opportunities and challenges of the new service year. Outside of Circle K, I am involved in Focus, my college’s student-led worship group, have gone on and led service trips through North Central, and am a part of the Honors Program. I love service because I think that helping others is not only enjoyable but also that it is all of our responsibility as human beings to recognize ourselves as a family and respond to each other’s needs. I also think it is a fantastic way to meet new people and form awesome friendships with people who share my passion for serving others. My goals as Marketing and Technology Chair for this year include making good quality publicity for all events, working with other committee chairs to promote the goings on of the district, keeping the Maci (2nd from the left) with district website and facebook page up to date, the rest of NCC’s 2011-2012 and encouraging clubs to create their own CKI board after this year’s websites. In doing so, I hope to increase club Induction Banquet. ! participation at the district level and help clubs promote themselves by making information available to current and prospective members, hopefully fulfilling the goal of increasing membership. Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far in my time in CKI, and I cannot wait to see what this year brings!
