JOIN US FOR SENIOR HOSPITALITY DAY AT THE GREAT GEAUGA COUNTY FAIR

Remember to visit our hospitality area at the Great Geauga County Fair on Senior Day, Friday, September 3rd. We will be at our usual “spot” outside Merchants Hall #2 which is located on Midway 1. Cookies and coffee will be served as usual.

Entertainment will take place throughout the day, and the 2009 Senior Awards will be presented at 12:30 by the Midway stage. Don’t be surprised if you see folks you haven’t seen for awhile. You may renew a friendship and rekindle memories.

Free transit will be provided by the Geauga County Department on Aging. Reservations for transit must be made by August 18th. Call 285-2222 Ext. 2130.

Remember, seniors 65+ enter the fairgrounds FREE of charge on Friday, September 3rd, Senior Day.

OLLEYBALL T CHAIR V OURNAM 2010 ENT Friday, August 20, 2010 10 AM – 2 PM Any senior centers, senior communities or seniors friends with a team made up of players who are 60 years of age and older are welcome to play. Teams can be from Geauga or other counties!

Last year over 10 teams registered for the event, with the Middlefield Chair Volleyball team winning the Gold Medal!

The Tournament will be held at the Chagrin Falls Senior Center, located 7060 Woodland Avenue, in Bainbridge. Hamlet Village Provides lunch free for all registered players. Here are some ideas of what we are collecting: Backpacks, Glue sticks, Crayola crayons, Crayola water color paints, White glue bottles, #2 pencils, Wide ruled spiral notebooks, Pink erasers, Wide ruled loose-leaf paper, Pocket folders, 12” ruler (inches and metric). Zip-loc bags, Index cards etc.

We want to see your smiling faces at our Senior Centers. Here are some reminders that may help to ensure your transportation goes as smoothly as possible:

- Be sure to sign up at the senior center by the Monday of the week before you will be attending.

- Be sure to call transit the evening before your scheduled day to find out what time they will be picking you up. Transit may be at your house 15 minutes before or after that scheduled time.

- Please be ready. Transit will only wait 5 minutes for you. If you are not ready, they will leave without you.

- Special Event Days - be sure to call the evening before as times may vary greatly on these days!
