5. General issues raised by industry association during the course of meeting

Kolkata being the State Capital is industrially developed and is well equipped to promote industrialization. However the MSE sector still needs support from the Govt. on issues like credit availability, obtaining fire license, linking of trade license with fire license, rehabilitation of sick units, etc. Further, the requirement of depositing a large amount as earnest money in case of large tenders is another major problem facing the MSE sector. In the banking sector, several banks are hesitant to implement the CGTMSE Scheme, thereby posing credit problems for the MSE sector.
