Trouble Shooting 1. Unable to connect to the local network in a roaming country When you switch on your mobile phone and do not see any network name on the screen, or it displays the warning, “Emergency Calls Only”, “Access Denied”, or “No Access”, it means that your handset cannot automatically connect to a local network. • Solution - Try selecting a network manually by going to Manual Network Selection. - If this still does not work, try moving to another location and repeat the first step. - Remove the SIM card from your handset and insert it into another handset. If this works, the problem is with your handset. Alternatively, insert another SIM card into your handset and see if it works. If it does, your SIM card may be damaged. - If your phone supports 3G network, switch Network Mode to 2G (details on page 9). 2. Able to connect to the local network but unable to make or receive calls • Solution - Check whether Call Barring Service has been activated for either incoming calls or outgoing international calls.
