Roma, Lazio and Napoli Fighting for 2Nd Place
Sports FRIDAY, MAY 8, 2015 46 Barca host Sociedad, eying Spanish crown BARCELONA: Still basking in its 3-0 win over Bayern Munich, Barcelona now needs to protect its lead in the Spanish league. Barcelona leads Real Madrid by two points with three matches remaining, although the end of the season is now in doubt. On Wednesday, the Spanish soccer federation decided to sus- pend all league and Copa del Rey matches from May 16 in protest at a proposed law on the sale of television rights and the division of the income earned. That could make this week- end’s matches even more important. With both coming off Champions League games, Barcelona will host Real Sociedad tomorrow while Madrid hosts Valencia later in the day. Barcelona closed in on a spot in the Champions League final on Wednesday, getting a pair of goals from Lionel Messi in the 3-0 win over Bayern. Madrid lost 2-1 at Juventus on Tuesday. Here are some things to know about this weekend’s matches: More Messi magic All the talk in Barcelona yesterday was about Messi’s per- formance against Bayern. The Argentina forward again showed why he is one of the best ever when he netted two goals to finally break through a defense Bayern coach Pep Guardiola had crafted to keep his former pupil in check. Messi used a pinpoint strike to slot a shot between goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and the post to get the lead in the 77th minute. He bettered that three minutes later when a quick change of foot sent defender Jerome Boateng tumbling to the turf before he made it look easy as he chipped the ball over the Germany’s world champion goalkeeper. -

They are influential in different ways and might even be changing the way we look at sport. The objective of this paper is to study the ways in which sponsoring, precisely kit deals and stadium naming rights can influence the image of football. Keywords: sports; sponsorship; club culture; football; kits; naming rights 1 Acknowledgements I would like to thank both of my professors Pierre Lévy and Daniel Paré for their guidance and their precious feedback. Effizienzpotenziale Im Strategischen Stadionmanagement Effizienzpotenziale Im Strategischen Stadionmanagement Abschlussbericht Zum UEFA-Forschungsstipendium
A holistic, scenario-independent, situation-awareness and guidance system for sustaining the Active Evacuation Route for large crowds A holistic, scenario-independent, situation-awareness and guidance system for sustaining the Active Evacuation Route for large crowds The dynamic capture of situational awareness concerning crowds in specific mass gathering venues and its intelligent enablement into emergency management information systems, using smart communication devices and spaces is critical for achieving rapid, timely guidance and safe evacuation of people out of dangerous areas. Humans could be overwhelmed by fast changes of potentially dangerous incidents occurring at confined environments with mass-gathering. They could fail to make objective decisions to find their way to safety. This condition may lead to mass panic and make emergency management more challenging. In eVACUATE, the intelligent fusion of sensors, geospatial and contextual information, with advanced multi-scale crowd behavior detection and recognition will be developed. The structured fusion of sensing information with dynamic estimated uncertainties on behavior predictions will advance eVACUATE crowd dynamic models; and virtual reality simulations of crowds in confined environments. A service oriented Decision- Support System shall be developed to dynamically distribute on-demand evacuation information to emergency management actors as the crisis unfolds. Friday, May 15, 2020 the University of Arizona
FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2020 THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA It was in 1885 that the Thirteenth Territorial Legislature founded the University of Arizona with an appropriation of $25,000 — but no land. This appropriation was not welcomed by many residents of Tucson and Pima County, as they were looking for either the state Capitol building, a prison, or even an asylum for the insane — but definitely not a university. The money would be available on the condition that the community provided a suitable site. Just before the $25,000 was to be returned to the Legislature, two gamblers and a saloon-keeper donated 40 acres of land “way out east of town,” and thus the University could become a reality. Classes began in 1891 with 32 students and six teachers, all accommodated in one building. The first class graduated in 1895, when three students received their degrees. Today, the University of Arizona is one of the nation's top public universities, according to U.S. News & World Report. It has grown to more than 45,000 students and 15,000 faculty and staff members across the University, which includes the main campus, the College of Applied Science & Technology in Sierra Vista, the College of Medicine – Phoenix and Arizona Online. The University is organized into 21 colleges and 23 schools. It is one of the top 10 employers in Arizona, with an economic impact of more than $1 billion in fiscal year 2017 as a result of the University’s research expenditures. 156th Annual Arizona COMMENCEMENT Table of Contents STREAMED PROGRAM · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · -
