From M5 junctions 11a or 12, the A38, A40 or A417, follow the brown signs to Historic Docks/ Gloucester Quays.

Car parking: Pay and display parking is available throughout Gloucester Docks.

By rail and bus: Gloucester railway and bus stations are across the road from each other on Bruton Way.

The museum is a 15–20 minute walk. There is a taxi rank at the train station and near the bus station.

Housed in a grain warehouse in the heart of Gloucester Docks, the new interactive galleries celebrate the uniqueness of the docks, the and the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal.

The museum is packed with displays telling the stories of the surrounding waterways and the people who lived and worked on them.
