Résumé : Les études de phylogénie moléculaire sur les Lépidoptères Rhopalocères et Zygènes sont de plus en plus nombreuses ces dernières années modifiant la systématique et la taxinomie de ces deux groupes. Une mise à jour complète est réalisée dans ce travail. Un cadre décisionnel a été élaboré pour les niveaux spécifiques et infra-spécifique avec une approche intégrative de la taxinomie. Ce cadre intégre notamment un aspect biogéographique en tenant compte des zones-refuges potentielles pour les espèces au cours du dernier maximum glaciaire. Cette démarche permet d’avoir une approche homogène pour le classement des taxa aux niveaux spécifiques et infra-spécifiques. Les conséquences pour l’acquisition des données dans le cadre d’un inventaire national sont développées. Summary : Studies on molecular phylogenies of Butterflies and Burnets have been increasingly frequent in the recent years, changing the systematics and taxonomy of these two groups. A full update has been performed in this work. -

APPENDIX A: COMMON AND SCIENTIFIC NAMES FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE SPECIES FOUND IN IDAHO. How to Read the Lists. Within these lists, species are listed phylogenetically by class. In cases where phylogeny is incompletely understood, taxonomic units are arranged alphabetically. Listed below are definitions for interpreting NatureServe conservation status ranks (GRanks and SRanks). These ranks reflect an assessment of the condition of the species rangewide (GRank) and statewide (SRank). Rangewide ranks are assigned by NatureServe and statewide ranks are assigned by the Idaho Conservation Data Center. GX or SX Presumed extinct or extirpated: not located despite intensive searches and virtually no likelihood of rediscovery. GH or SH Possibly extinct or extirpated (historical): historically occurred, but may be rediscovered. Its presence may not have been verified in the past 20–40 years. A species could become SH without such a 20–40 year delay if the only known occurrences in the state were destroyed or if it had been extensively and unsuccessfully looked for. The SH rank is reserved for species for which some effort has been made to relocate occurrences, rather than simply using this status for all elements not known from verified extant occurrences. G1 or S1 Critically imperiled: at high risk because of extreme rarity (often 5 or fewer occurrences), rapidly declining numbers, or other factors that make it particularly vulnerable to rangewide extinction or extirpation. G2 or S2 Imperiled: at risk because of restricted range, few populations (often 20 or fewer), rapidly declining numbers, or other factors that make it vulnerable to rangewide extinction or extirpation. Five larvae of T. ballus were found on 19 May, 2007 in a crop of “castellana” lentils in Toledo Province, Spain and reared in the laboratory. The larval brown spiracles are slightly darker than the rest of the pupa. Traditional cultural practices reduce the insect’s probability of completing its life-cycle. -

The arctic-alpine butterfly Lycaena phlaeas hypophlaeas (Boisduval) may have either four or five larval instars, the number apparently being fixed at ovipo sition. Factors affecting instar number were investigated in a laboratory colony of L. p. hypophlaeas from the White Mountains of California. Adults in oviposition cages were subjected to outdoor ambient conditions of day-length and temperature, but larvae were reared indoors under nearly constant conditions (ca. 16 h light, 25°C). Larvae with five instars predominated when oviposition occurred during short days « 11 h light) and low maximum diurnal temperatures (ca. 22°C). When oviposition occurred during longer days (> 12 h light) and higher mean diurnal temperatures (ca. 33°C) most larvae had four instars. Larvae having five instars required about 70% longer to mature than larvae having four instars. Although diapause is not obligate, overwintering probably occurs as larvae, which are more resistant to cold than are pupae and adults. Additional key words: diapause, Lycaeninae, Oxyria digyna. The primarily holarctic lycaenid butterfly Lycaena phlaeas (L.) in habits a wide range of habitats from sea level to ca. 4000 m elevation. Various subspecies of L. phlaeas in Asia, Europe, and eastern North America are multivoltine, polyphagous (primarily on Rumex species), and common at low elevations. However, L. p. hypophlaeas (Boisduval) of western North America is univoltine, apparently monophagous on Oxyria digyna (L.) Hill, and confined to arctic-alpine habitats (Ferris 1974). -
Endemic Macrolepidoptera Subspecies in the Natural History Museum Collections from Sibiu (Romania)

The paper presents data regarding endemic Macrolepidoptera subspecies preserved in the Entomological Collections of Natural History Museum from Sibiu. 22 endemic subspecies are recorded and represented by 382 specimens in the Entomological Collection. Most of the specimens have been collected from mountain habitats, especially from Southern and Western Carpathians. The results of this paper contribute to the improvement of the existing data concerning the distribution and outline the areas of Macrolepidoptera’s endemism in Romania. Résumé. Le document présente des données concernant les sous-espèces endémiques des Macrolépidoptères conservées dans les collections entomologiques du Musée d’Histoire Naturelle de Sibiu. 22 sous-espèces endémiques sont enregistrées et représentées par 382 spécimens dans la collection entomologique. La plupart des spécimens ont été recueillis dans les habitats de montagne, en particulier du Sud et l’Ouest des Carpates. Les résultats de cette étude contribuent à compléter les données existantes concernant la distribution et de définir les zones d’endémisme des Macrolépidoptères en Roumanie. (Lepidoptera: Lycaenidae) S. Seven Abstract In this paper, the genus Neolycaena de Nicéville, 1890 distributed in Central Asia is recorded for the first time from Turkey. A new species of blue, Neolycaena soezen Seven, sp. n. is described from Turkey. The other species flying together with the new species in the field are also listed in the article. Satyrium (Superflua) ledereri (Boisduval,1848), Tomares dobrogensis (Caradja, 1895) and Lycaena (Thersamonia) ochimus (Herrich-Schäffer, 1851) are new records for the province of Eski¸sehir. Redescovering Tomares Nogelii Dobrogensis Caradja, 1895 in Romania

The species was rediscovered in 2014 in a wooded steppe from Northern Dobrogea, area from where the subspecies dobrogensis Caradja was described in 1895. Several individuals, ♂♂ and ♀♀, were recorded on the flowers ofAstragalus ponticus. A female was photographed during egg-laying on the flower buds ofAstragalus ponticus. A more detailed account of the North American subspecies is presented, and a new subspecies, L. p. weberi, from the Sweet Grass Hills, Montana is described. The possibility that the eastern United States subspecies hypophlaeas was introduced from the Old World is discussed; however no conclusion can be reached with certainty. The relationship between Old World and New World subspecies of L. phlaeas is discussed. Evidence presented supports the treatment of New World populations as subspecies of L. phlaeas. INTRODUCTION Lycaena phlaeas (Linnaeus, 1761) is a widespread species with subspecies in Europe, North Africa, Arabia, northern Asia, Japan, North America and tropical Africa. The nominate subspecies occurs in northern Europe (Ackery et al., 1995). Shields & Montgomery (1966) mentioned that European texts list Polygonaceae (Rumex and Polygonum) as larval foodplants for L. phlaeas subspecies. Flight period is April to November, in one to four generations, depending on local conditions; over-wintering is in the larval stage (Tuzov, 2000). Bridges (1988) listed 19 subspecies in his catalogue, not including the North American ones. Miller and Brown (1981) listed five subspecies for North America. Ford (1924) attempted to cover the world-wide geographic races of L. -
