Jenkins Affl alo Still Not An All-Star BY CLINTON ************************************************************************************************** REYES, TIMES SPORTS WRITER Orlando Magic - Amway Center, Orlando ORLANDO – In the per- fect world, Orlando would be 38-11 and leading the NBA into the All-Star break, and in do- ing so, undoubtedly secure an All-Star roster selection for SG Aaron Affl alo. Playing like one, Affl alo is having quite the year and his play has brought many to believe in his worthiness of a fi rst All-Star appearance. But, the NBA we have all come to un- derstand is not one to commend a great player, on a bad team. Give it up for @nhnets Despite having a career year and ranking among the top shooting guards in practically every sta- #GiveItUpForGood tistical category, Affl alo’s hopes of making his fi rst NBA All-Star team were dashed on Thursday when he was left off the team. Clearly, Orlando’s 12-35 record factored into the decision to pick the likes of DerMar DeRo- zan and Joe Johnson ahead of Orlando’s standout guard.

Photo Courtesy: Denis Concordel / www.widgic.com Brooks: Do Numbers Favor Buffs Down Final Stretch? Release: 02/26/2013 Courtesy: B.G. Brooks, Contributing Editor BOULDER - March is a couple of days away, which means Madness isn't far behind. 'Tis the time of season when college hoops and its soon-to-be-wacko fans can start paying serious attention to bracketology and RPIs - and if I have to footnote either term, you might as well stop reading here. Game Notes at Stanford After practice the other day, Colorado coach Tad Boyle conceded he pulls up bracketology on his desktop computer about "once a week - and I shouldn't admit that." He also "checks our RPI daily; that's a number I'm pretty dialed into." And why should Boyle forbid himself to peruse either? Although he's a strict one-game-at-a-time guy, he's got a little more invested in Buffs basketball than you or me. But like you and me, he's keenly interested in various seers' mid-March forecasting and where his team might land. "It's part of the world we live in," Boyle explained. "I don't focus on it, I can promise you that. When I come to practice I don't think about it. I don't think about it before I go to bed.

  • Team Training Program
TEAM TRAINING Impact Basketball is very proud of our extensive productive tradition of training teams from around the world as they prepare for upcoming events, seasons, or tournament competition. It is with great honor that we help your team to be at its very best through our comprehensive training and team-building program. The Impact Basketball Team Training Program will give your players a chance to train together in a focused environment with demanding on-court offensive and defensive skill training along with intense off-court strength and conditioning training. The experienced Impact Basketball staff will provide the team with a truly unique bonding experience through training and competition, as well as off-court team building activities. Designated team practice times and live games against high-level American players, including NBA players, provide teams with an opportunity to prepare for their upcoming competition while also developing individually. Each team’s program will be completely customized to fit their schedule, with direct consultation from the team’s coaching staff and management. We will integrate any and all concepts that the coaching staff would like to implement and focus the training on areas that the team’s coaches have deemed deficient. Our incorporation of off-site training and team-building exercises make this a one-of-a-kind opportunity for team and individual development. We have the ability to provide training options for the entire team or for a smaller group of the team’s players. The Impact staff can help set up all the housing, food, and transportation needs for the team.
