Change the order of the letters in cat to get act – cat and act are anagrams. Change the order of the letters in art to get rat or tar. Yep, art, rat, and tar are anagrams. You can find an abundance of anagrams on the Internet. We searched for ‘anagram’ and got 5,000,000 hits. Here are some anagrams that we found: • ah ha • ate eat eta tea • arts rats star tars tsar • abode adobe • loops pools sloop spool • capers pacers parsec spacer scrape palindrome a word that reads the same forward and backward, such as aha, toot, and radar. There are also numbers that are palindromes, such as 77, 454, 3003, and 12345678987654321. Clever people have constructed palindromes that are phrases, sentences, paragraphs, poems, and books. • Three-letter palindromes: aha bib dad did gag hah mom oho pep wow • Four-letter palindromes: abba esse deed noon peep toot • Five-letter palindromes: civic level madam radar refer rotor To peruse a proliferation of palindromes, search the Internet for ‘palindrome’. reverse A word or non-word obtained by reversing the order of the letters of another word or string of letters. For example, the reverse of hobbit is tibboh, which is not a word in our dictionary. The reverse of now is won, which is a word. • The reverse of aha is aha, which is the same word. If the reverse of a word is the same word, the word is a palindrome. • If the reverse of a word is a different word, the two words are semordnilaps – now and won are semordnilaps. semordnilap a word that is the reverse of a different word. If you read a word backward and get a different word, then the two words are semordnilaps. • Two-letter semordnilaps: ah and ha, eh and he, em and me, it and ti. • Three-letter semordnilaps: are and era, not and ton, pot and top, saw and was. • Four-letter semordnilaps: doom and mood, loop and pool, rats and star. • 11-letter semordnilaps: palindromes and semordnilap. Aha! The word semordnilap is the word palindromes spelled backward. A semordnilap is a special type of anagram. If a word is a semordnilap, then it is an anagram. The converse is not true: a word may be an anagram, but not be a semordnilap. The words alp, lap, and pal are anagrams. Lap and pal are semordnilaps. However, alp and lap are not semordnilaps, and alp and pal are not semordnilaps. 3 Play Together, Learn Together Anagrams-Palindromes-Semordnilaps string a sequence of characters. What is Scrabble? The game of Scrabble has been around since 1933 in one form or another in Western society, so I’ve always thought that everyone would have least heard of it. It wasn’t until recently that I realised there are people out there who don’t know what it is. Oddly enough, one of my relatives who is a very worldly character having run various clubs in his day, whom you would have thought was very knowledgeable brought this fact home to me, he was unaware of what it is.

  • The Authenticity of Ambiguity: Dada and Existentialism
THE AUTHENTICITY OF AMBIGUITY: DADA AND EXISTENTIALISM by ELIZABETH FRANCES BENJAMIN A thesis submitted to The University of Birmingham For the degree of DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY Department of Modern Languages College of Arts and Law University of Birmingham August 2014 University of Birmingham Research Archive e-theses repository This unpublished thesis/dissertation is copyright of the author and/or third parties. French Existentialism is often condemned for its perceived quietist implications. However, closer analysis reveals a preoccupation with philosophy in the former and with art in the latter. Neither was nonsensical or meaningless, but both reveal a rich individualist ethics aimed at the amelioration of the individual and society. It is through their combined analysis that we can view and productively utilise their alignment. Offering new critical aesthetic and philosophical approaches to Dada as a quintessential part of the European Avant-Garde, this thesis performs a reassessment of the movement as a form of (proto-)Existentialist philosophy. The thesis represents the first major comparative study of Dada and Existentialism, contributing a new perspective on Dada as a movement, a historical legacy, and a philosophical field of study.

  • An Exploration of Salvador Dalí's “Society Portraits”
©Rev. Robert Keffer, 2021 Moguls, Matrons, and Aristocracy: An Exploration of Salvador Dalí’s “Society Portraits” from the 1940’s Through the 1960’s By Rev. Robert Keffer, OSB What is the Society Portrait? How do art critics and historians define the society portrait? The first definition that might come to mind may be pejorative: a slick, glossy and flattering depiction of an unattractive person, who happened to be blessed with money and pedigree. Many would consider the society portrait a hack job; something the artist creates to pay the bills and/or to gain entré into a higher level of society. This criticism has been applied especially to the portraiture styles of the late 19th century, and the continuation of their style to the current time: portraiture that is academic/realist, and follows mainly the techniques of John Singer Sargent and his imitators. Current revisionist criticism, however, will show that the society portrait can and often does have lasting artistic merit. Consider, for instance, the famous Portrait of Consuelo, Duchess of Marlborough and Her Son, Lord Ivor Spencer-Churchill (1906), by Giovanni Boldini. Grace Glueck in her New York Times article, “Society Portraits of Giovanni Boldini”, considers this famous work nothing more than “a frothy meringue… an almost erotic tableau in which a beautiful small boy sprawls against the slender body of his vivacious mother, who is regally ensconced on a Louis XV settee, and clad in a long splash of shimmering satin.”1 However, Ms. Glueck, in the same article, states that Boldini could also do work of real character with “his vibrant 1897 rendering of a world-weary Whistler, for instance, lounging against a chair back, his head supported by an eloquently ‘artistic’ hand and a wonderful self-portrait of 1911 in which, his portly little body half-turned to the viewer, he seems to regard with jaded eyes a rogue's gallery of subjects visible only to him.”2 Boldini aside, history refutes the theory that the society portrait has always been and always will be empty flattery and vain show.

We have designed a cosine based transformation in each pixel. Thus an 800 x 600 pixel image can contain 14, to create the appropriate pixels where data could be hidden. 40,000 bits (1, 80,000 bytes) of secret data. But using just 3 bits Also the data to be hidden is not sequential but is random from this huge size of bytes is wasting space. So the main based on a password algorithm. This concept is based on both objective of the present work is to hide more than 1 bit at bytes visual and statistical. According to our design we have defined and still get results like LSB replacement (imperceptible two layers of security. Higher layers of security can be message). This objective is satisfied by building new achieved by encrypting the input data to confuse steganalysis.

© 2019 JETIR March 2019, Volume 6, Issue 3 www.jetir.org (ISSN-2349-5162) Improving Storage Efficiency of Cipher Text Using Palindrome Compression Technique 1Dr.R.Kiran Kumar, 2P.Bharathi Devi 1Associate Professor, 2Research Scholar 1Department of Computer Science 1Krishna University, Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India [email protected], [email protected] Abstract: In present days data exchange rate is high through electronic media. Huge numbers of them utilized Whatsapp, Twitter, Instagrams, messages and other data media to share their data. The extent of data is enormous. Offering security to the data is likewise significant angle. With a specific end goal to give security numerous Cryptography approaches accessible. Out of them DNA Cryptography is a developing field. In DNA Cryptography the figure content is as DNA arrangements. There are tremendous genomic successions in the real world. Putting away of these genomes in Gene Bank is likewise troublesome. This adds up to tremendous information stockpiling costs, in this manner making the utilization of this information, for example, examination and recovery very difficult. DNA arrangement examination is valuable in differing territories, for example, crime scene investigation, medicinal research, drug store, agribusiness and so on, It is extremely important to address the capacity issue of these exponentially developing information. Present day natural science produces tremendous measures of genomic arrangement information. This is fuelling the requirement for effective calculations for grouping pressure and investigation. Information pressure and the related strategies originating from data hypothesis are regularly seen as being of enthusiasm for information correspondence and capacity. In the present paper the authors proposed the DNA Compression by splitting based on the given length and find whether the subsequence contains palindrome or not.
