The Village Council is the Legislative branch and sets all Public Services Director Thomas Meszler Village policy. The Village Manager is the head of the Executive branch and is responsible for the administration of those policies. [email protected]

COUNCIL Planning & Zoning Administrator The Council makes policy in the form of laws, ordinances, and resolutions. Council meets twice a month on the first and third Tuesday at Erin LaPere 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building. All meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend. Utility Billing Clerk The Council elects a president and president pro-tem. The president of the Council presides at meetings and is the ceremonial head of the Chandá Simmons Village. Each councilperson is a liaison to an advisory Board or Commission which makes recommendations to the Council as a whole. Beverly Hills residents can begin making reservations for the pavilion at Beverly Park Beverly Hills is home to two beautiful nature preserves. These pieces of natural area in on Wednesday, March 3rd. The Parade begins at Groves High School traveling north on Evergreen to Beverly Road and proceeds to Beverly Park. The parade features local organizations, mascots, Girl Scout Troops, and Boy Scout Troops – just to name a few. The Carnival is held in Beverly Park with rides, games, entertainment, and refreshments. If you would like to volunteer to help with this event, please contact Janice Hausman at (248) 647-1238. The Memorial Day Ceremony takes place around the flagpole at Beverly Park where we remember the men and women who lost their lives serving this country. The Grand Marshal of the parade and local dignitaries speak during the ceremony.

FUN RUN & WALK Sponsored by the Beverly Hills Lions Club, the Memorial Day Fun Run and Walk fea- tures a four-mile run and a two-mile walk which begins and ends at Beverly School. For a small entrance fee, participants receive a t-shirt and trophies are awarded to runners/walkers in all age categories. All proceeds from this event go to the Beverly Hills Lions Club. The annual Candy Cane Collection is held in late November to De- cember. Proceeds support charities that assist the blind and speech and hearing impaired in the immediate area.
