A. OUTLINE

Edmund Webb Boarding House has a current capacity of 50 boys. It caters to boys in Year 9 through to Year 12. There are excellent specialist facilities for the Boarding House. The boarding house has mostly en-suite rooms for seniors. There are four staff members (and partners) living on site within the boarding community who are members of the academic staff as well as a full-time nurse who lives within the Boarding house. The current make- up of the boarders is approximately: Regional (30%), Metropolitan (40%) and International (30%).

Numbers have grown in recent years and we have an attractive fee remission schedule available for our regional communities. There are future plans to expand facilities in order to grow our boarding numbers even further.

Due to the small size of the boarding house, the high staff numbers, very close and caring relationships are formed. It is ‘boutique-boarding’ with exceptionally strong pastoral care evident. Boy and parent surveys record very high satisfaction with our boarding programs, facilities and support. We also have students boarding in Terms 1 and 4 at the College’s boatshed located in Abbotsford. The Head of Boarding has the oversight and responsibility of this program, ensuring legal compliance and the safety of staff and boys.
