Caratterizzato dalla presenza massiccia di chitarre e percussioni e dalla straordinaria voce da mezzosoprano di Amy Lee, “THE GAME IS OVER” è un inno di protesta contro le maschere che la società ci costringe ad indossare tutti i giorni. Di fronte alla depressione e all'ansia – e specialmente in un mondo che sembra sgretolarsi ogni giorno sempre di più – questo brano è un grido di ribellione al dover fingere che tutto vada bene. «Questa canzone parla dell'essere stanchi delle apparenze, delle maschere che indossiamo con gli altri per farli sentire a proprio agio – dichiara Amy Lee – Quello che sentiamo è diverso da ciò che mostriamo all'esterno per adattarci ai confini di ciò che è socialmente accettabile, o di ciò che non ci renderà sgradevoli o troppo "strani" agli occhi di chi ci sta intorno» Il video del brano, girato con uno smartphone tra luci e ombre, sarà online dalle ore 18.00 di oggi, venerdì 3 luglio, al seguente link: https://youtu.be/jJEZgUjjZqM. Durante la première, Amy Lee, leader della band, parteciperà in diretta su YouTube ad un Q&A insieme ai fan. La clip mostra uno scenario da incubo e vuol essere uno sguardo sul caos emotivo che questo periodo ha provocato. Nonostante il video sia realizzato tramite smartphone dai componenti della band, la collaborazione con il regista P.R. Brown ha portato ad un risultato di notevole, che ha reso realistici e concreti i “mostri” che vivono dentro di noi. Il video è la sorprendente prova della scintilla creativa che si accende quando si è costretti a lavorare con risorse limitate e testimonia l’impegno e la dedizione del gruppo verso il proprio mestiere. Mettendo in luce gli stati d’animo oscuri che stanno dietro ai falsi sorrisi, è un inquietante tributo in technicolor alla metaforica luce in fondo al tunnel, che possiamo trovare se siamo disposti ad affrontare i pericoli che ne lastricano la strada. In seguito all’emergenza COVID-19, l’unica data italiana degli Evanescence, inizialmente prevista il 29 settembre 2020, è stata rinviata a giovedì 9 settembre 2021 al Mediolanum Forum di Assago (MI). I biglietti e i VIP pack già acquistati rimarranno validi per la nuova data. Vincitori di due Grammy Award, gli Evanescence sono una band che ha avuto un grandissimo impatto sulla musica mondiale. Il famoso album di debutto “Fallen” (2003), con i popolari singoli “Bring me to life” e “My Immortal”, ha venduto oltre 17 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. Dopo vari tour mondiali, il secondo album “The Open Door” ha registrato oltre 5 milioni di copie vendute, seguito dall’omonimo album “Evanescence”, che ha debuttato al primo posto nella classifica Billboard. I asked her to do an interview so that students could get to know her more and she agreed. Q: Why did you come to eAcademy? A: I’ve been teaching online and in the hybrid settings (part online and part in class) for several years. I love the ways that students can get support for their learning with all of the many online resources available. I also love working with students and math has always been my favorite subject. Q: Do you have any kids? If you do, what is a thing they like to do? A:Yes, I have three boys. They are six, eight, and ten years old and they all play soccer. So we spend a lot of time at soccer fields. Q: What is your favorite TV show? A: I like watching cooking shows because I love food and I love to eat. One of my favorite shows is Chopped because I like to see the way they use unusual foods in surprising ways. I also like that the judges try to be kind as they are tasting the chef’s creations. Q: Where did you go to school? A: I grew up going to school in Riverside, including attending North High School. I attended college at the University of California, Riverside, where I got both my math degree and my teaching credential. Q: Favorite activity to do outside of school? A: I love doing things outside when it’s nice out! Going for a hike in the mountains with my family is at the top of my list.

    MERCOLEDì 4 MARZO 2020 EVANESCENCE & WITHIN TEMPTATION hanno unito le loro forze per il WORLDS COLLIDE TOUR, un gigantesco tour che partirà da Bruxelles il 4 aprile del 2020 e che promette di essere uno dei più grandi concerti Evanescence & Within Temptation previsti per l'anno prossimo. insieme per il Worlds Collide Tour: martedi' 14 aprile al Forum di Capitanato da due delle donne più iconiche e creative del mondo rock Milano Amy Lee, leader degli EVANESCENCE, e Sharon den Adel, headliner dei WITHIN TEMPTATION, il tour vedrà unite le due band per entusiasmare i fan in tutta Europa. In Italia il live imperdibile, prodotto e organizzato da Vivo Concerti, è previsto per martedì 14 aprile 2020 al Mediolanum Forum di Milano.
