2021 Us Price List & Specifications 2021 US PRICE LIST & SPECIFICATIONS Effective January 1, 2021 taylorguitars.com Contents Models by Series / Pricing 4 Custom Program 8 Dimensions by Shape 9 Standard Model Options 10 Specifications 11 Most Taylor acoustic models are organized by series, featuring the numerical 100 through 900 Series, A Guide to Taylor along with our Baby, GS Mini, Academy, Koa (K) and Presentation (PS) Series. Here’s how our model numbering system works: Acoustic Model Numbers The first digit (or letter) identifies the series (e.g., 800 Series). Each series is distinguished by the type of back and side woods and other material/aesthetic appointments used, such as inlays and binding. The second digit designates two things: first, whether the guitar is a 6-string or a 12-string, and second, whether the top features a softwood like spruce or cedar or a hardwood like mahogany or koa. 6-string Models: • If the middle digit is 1, it has a softwood top (e.g., 514ce) • If the middle digit is 2, it has a hardwood top (e.g., 524ce) 12-string Models: 814ce • If the middle digit is 5, it has a softwood top (e.g., 352ce) • If the middle digit is 6, it has a hardwood top (e.g., 362ce) Taylor nylon-string models are integrated into various series and are designated by the letter “N” at the end of the model name. For example, a nylon-string Grand Concert with a cutaway and electronics within the 500 Series is a 512ce-N. The third digit identifies the body shape according to this numbering system: Other Model Name Indicators 0 = Dreadnought (e.g., 210ce) Some Taylor models include additional letters. 1 = Grand Theater (e.g., GT811) This can identify several things: 2 = Grand Concert (e.g., 712ce) 4 = Grand Auditorium (e.g., 414ce) Nylon-string models (e.g., 812ce-N) 6 = Grand Symphony (e.g., 816ce) 7 = Grand Pacific (e.g., 517e) Alternative back/side woods within a series 8 = Grand Orchestra (e.g., 618e) (e.g., 414ce-R = rosewood; 214ce-K = koa) “e” indicates a model with onboard electronics Color treatments (e.g., 214ce-SB = Sunburst; 517 WHB = Wild Honey Burst; 214ce-BLK = Black) “c” indicates a model with a cutaway in the body 3 Model Description Price PS12ce Grand Concert, Sinker Redwood • Yamaha Guitar Information
Yamaha Strengths, Artist’s Advantage “Yamaha Guitars: Essential Knowledge” has been created to give you a behind-the-scenes view of the surprisingly vast and varied resources, facilities, skills, and people involved in making Yamaha guitars the special instruments that they are. Yamaha’s enviable position in musical instrument manufacturing is not only a result of more than 120 years of experience (the company was established in 1887), but also of the unique strengths that its expansive operations bring to bear. From research and development through design and manufacturing to sales and support, Yamaha goes to lengths that are simply beyond the capabilities of most guitar makers. But an underlying dedication to music and the creation of fine musical instruments is always there, forming a steadfast foundation that often results in profit taking a back seat to the pursuit of quality. Yamaha’s true strengths as a guitar maker are not apparent in product brochures or specifications, but they are clearly reflected in the sound, playability, dependability, and overall quality of every guitar that bears the Yamaha name. “Essential Knowledge” includes information that will hopefully provide a clearer picture of the prodigious resources and effort that give artists who choose Yamaha a significant musical advantage. INTRODUCTION (II) • The species belongs to the family Fabaceae – Papilionoideae. • Pterocarpus erinaceus is a medium- sized, generally deciduous tree 12-15 m tall, bole often of poor form. INTRODUCTION (III) • The bark surface is finely scaly fissured, brown- blackish with thin inner bark. It produces red sap when cut. INTRODUCTION (IV) • Traditionally, the species is used for the production of high quality charcoal and for building construction especially by local people. Rosewood Occurrence in Ghana (I) • The species occurs mostly in the forest savannah transitional zone and parts of the northern savannah woodland ecological zone. • Found in open forest and wooded savannah. Rosewood Occurrence in Ghana (II) • There are ten regions in Ghana. • Rosewood occurs in six of these regions, namely, Asha nti, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upp er East, Upper West and Volta regions. While a number of tree species had been brought under CITES regulation over the previous decades1, COP-17 saw a marked expansion of CITES timber species listings. The Parties at COP-17 listed the entire Dalbergia genus (some 250 species, including many of the most prized rosewoods), Pterocarpus erinaceous (kosso, a highly-exploited rosewood species from West Africa) and three Guibourtia species (bubinga, another African rosewood) to CITES Appendix II.2 The new listings entered into force on January 2, 2017.

  • Shade Tree Info – the Maples
Shade Tree Info – The Maples Acer rubrum is commonly known as Red Maple, or Swamp Maple. Varieties of Acer rubrum offered by Four Seasons include: ‘Autumn Flame’ – one of the first Red Maples to show fall color, Autumn Flame has smaller leaves than most other Red Maples. The branching habit is excellent and the rate of growth is medium. The bright medium-red fall color occurs about 2 weeks earlier than ‘Red Sunset.’ Height x width in 20 years = 30-35’ x 30-35’ ‘Red Sunset’ (A. r. “Franksred’)– has consistently been rated as one of the top 5 shade trees in America since it’s introduction in the mid 1960’s. The clean green leaves turn a fiery orange-red every fall and the symmetrical branching of ‘Red Sunset’ make for a great specimen tree. Height x width in 20 years = 35-40’ x 30-35’ ‘October Glory’ – is the last of the Red Maples to show fall color, with leaves turning deep red about 2 weeks after ‘Red Sunset.’ As with all the rubrum Maples we offer, excellent branching structure and bright light gray bark is a trademark of ‘October Glory.’ Height x width in 20 years = 35-40’ x 30-35’ General notes: Acer rubrum varieties prefer moist soils (remember, they are also known as Swamp Maple) and they require a soil pH below 7. Therefore, rubrum Maples are NOT a good choice for planting in parkways where their roots will wander into the limestone base of a street. But for open lawn areas, they are beautiful trees, and the color they reliably achieve each fall is intense.
