Derby College Group ENROLMENT 2020 GUIDANCE FOR SCHOOL LEAVERS BE FUTURE ONLINE ENROLMENT Enrolment will take place online for most students this year to protect both visitors and staff members alike and ensure recommended social distancing measures can be adhered to. Read the step-by-step guide on the next page to enrol remotely. You will need access to a computer, tablet or a phone and the internet. You can also access a Live Chat facility on the Derby College homepage. BE FUTURE Follow the steps below to successfully enrol at one of the Derby College Group sites online: 1. APPLY ONLINE All student must apply online to begin the enrolment process. If you’ve already applied before results day then you don’t need to apply again. If you haven’t applied yet, visit www.derby-college.ac.uk to search the courses available and submit an application. If you don’t have access to the a computer or the internet or just need a little more support with your application, you can book a place at onsite enrolment. Guidance for booking a place onsite can be found further along in this brochure. 2. SUBMIT YOUR ACTUAL GRADES After you pick up your results, you will need to upload your actual grades on to the enrolment system. We will send a link to the email address you applied with. Once you have submitted your actual grades, the curriculum team will review your results and confirm you have the necessary grades for the level of study you have applied for. If you have received lower or higher grades than expected, someone from curriculum will contact you to discuss your options. If this happens, you will be: • Enrolled on the most relevant level of study within the same curriculum area based on your actual results; • Signposted to another more suitable curriculum area; • Referred on to our Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) team for further support. 3. SIGN YOUR LEARNER AGREEMENT Once you have agreed your final offer with curriculum, you will be sent a learner agreement automatically which you can sign electronically. 4. SUBMIT PROOF OF ID You will also need to provide proof of ID which you can upload from your phone or computer. Proof of ID can include: • Passport • Bank/Debit Card • National Insurance Card • Provisional Driving Licence 5. CHECK YOUR ELECTRONIC WELCOME TO DCG PACK Once you have completed all the necessary steps, you will be sent your electronic ‘Welcome to Derby College Group’ pack via email. It’s very important you check this as it will include information on your induction, timetable, bursary form, work experience, etc. WWW.DERBYCOLLEGE.AC.UK ONSITE ENROLMENT We appreciate that some students may not have access to the equipment necessary or may require a little more support to complete their enrolment. All four sites will open over the enrolment period on specific dates and times.
