Id say, avoid the long lines at registration, but Joann Burke and her team are so skilled at their task that they rarely have any long lines at registration! However, early registration will give ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○ you a few more minutes to stand around the tech barn and bull or ○○○○○○ discuss race strategy, (whatever you want to call it). Get well wishes to Denny Powell ! We need you in that tech shed, babe! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! As I write this, Trevor and I have just come back from our last long UPCOMING EVENTS: summer week-end trip. We went down to the Smokey Mountains in Progressive Dinner Rally - TBA Tennessee. We did go to the beach and go fishing. I enjoyed the scenery on the trip down and the mountains, but Trevor wasnt impressed after Spaghetti Dinner at the October the first two overlooks. ( How did our parents survive summer trips Membership Meeting with kids and no Game boy? How did we survive our parents?) The best part for him was that we also drove the go-karts and bumper boats Old Timers Party and Rally like we had money down on the winner! It was great! And, truthfully, Cross at the Watsons - it was my favorite part too. Well, ok, I do think Ive found my section of October 22 heaven. I was sitting on a beach of white sand, Trevor was fishing off the Christmas Dinner and Year End pier just a few yards away and catching them left and right one after Awards at the Dayton another. As I went in for more worms, I discovered that they sold cold, Convention Center - December 15 single Miller Lite for only $1.25 a can! WAIT! I tried to sign up some new members, Scott, but I guess I just didnt have your touch! If you missed last months picnic at the pool, you really missed a good time. My apologies to the new members and the guests who expected anything serious or informational. Its a bit difficult to conduct much of a meeting in such an open, frivolous atmosphere. I hope you got as much serious as you needed for the first meeting. The kids played in the pool and really enjoyed themselves, (so we actually got in some great conversation!) It was really nice to see so many people, some who I hadnt seen in a while, Jeanne Philbrick, John Pfetzing, Alan Conley, to name a few.
