Agarpara Swami Vivekananda Academy AGARPARA SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ACADEMY PROSPECTUS – 2020-21 INTRODUCTION In the current era of globalization, English has become the international language of communication. In view of modern developments in the fields of Science and Technology and wide opening for job opportunities in these fields, both in India and abroad, it has become absolutely necessary to impart education at the school level through English Medium. The Mission Administration started the ground work for a co-educational English Medium School under CBSE at Mission premises no. 3, B.T. Road, Agarpara in Sept. 2014 and accordingly the school started from the academic session 2015-16 . At Barrackpore, the Mission runs at this moment a number of schools including Morning and Day sections with about 8000 students, of which only four are English Medium Schools, two each for the boys and the girls. The High school known as Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission Vidyabhawan is at 7, Riverside Road, Barrackpore and the Higher Secondary Unit is at 39, Park Road, Barrackpore. The High School and Higher secondary unit are recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education respectively. There is permission in classes IX, X, XI and XII. The Mission has adequate experience for imparting quality education and the performance of the students in the Madhyamik Examination under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has been quite satisfactory. No. obtaining Star Marks 318 318 388 Special Features of the School It is an English Medium co-education School which has 4 (Four) special features:- 1. It follows the syllabus of the Central Board of Secondary Education. The syllabus is the same as followed in the similar English Medium School with a scope of spiritual development. 1 2. Any Student, finding it difficult to continue in the CBSE Unit English Medium, shall be allowed to switch over to Bengali Medium Unit or English Medium Unit of West Bengal Board located at Barrackpore, North 24 Pgs. and continue there till Class-X Examination. 3. Students will be allowed to take Hindi/Bengali as Second language in all classes as per norms of CBSE. 4. This Mission has been declared status of Religious Denomination Institution under Article 26 of the Constitution of India by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Therefore, this school will be run as per objects of Mission with special importance to the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Ma Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda through education and other school curriculum which are compulsory to be followed by all students. When the new session shall start functioning? The classes will start functioning from 1st week of April, 2021 officially as per CBSE norms. Who can apply for admission to this school? For the academic session 2021 – 2022, admission will remain open to Boys & Girls as Day scholar (Non Hostel) for the following Classes : Permissible Age Class (As on Seats Available 01.04.2021) V 10 + 09 VI 11 + 09 IX 14 + 02 No Seats are available for the following classes: Class Seats Available I NOT AVAILABLE II NOT AVAILABLE III NOT AVAILABLE IV NOT AVAILABLE VII NOT AVAILABLE VIII NOT AVAILABLE 2 Any guardian can apply for admission of student within the age limit noted below for the concerned class, can submit application in the prescribed form but the selection will be made on the basis of Interview. The age restrictions for classes shall be as follows:- Class Age as on 31.03.2021 Class- I N. A. Class-II N. A. Class-III N. A. Class-IV N. A. Class-V 10 + Class-VI 11 + Class-VII N. A. Class-VIII N. A. Class-IX 14 + Original Birth Certificate will be required to be produced as proof of age. How and from where the prospectus and the Application Form will be available? Application is to be submitted online at our website www.asvarkvm.org from 01.11.2020. Cost of application Form is Rs. 500 only which is to be paid online during the process of submission of Online form. Last Date for submission of Application Forms : 20th December, 2020 up to 3:00 pm. Date and Time of Online Interview:- a) Class V – 2/2/2021 - 8:00 am to 10:00 am b) Class VI & IX – 2/2/2021 – 12 Noon to 2:00 pm Procedure of selection: Selection will be made through Interview of children and guardian on the basis of selected list of publication of results. The guardians of selected candidates will collect the information cards from the school office which are to be produced at the time of admission. Date and Time of Admission: Selected candidates will have to take admission on payment of fees indicated on the dates and time noted below:- Class Date Time Class- V 4th February, 2021 1 p.m. 3 Class- VI 5th February,2021 1 p.m. Class- IX 6th February,2021 1 p.m. Rate of Tuition and other Fees to be paid for Academic Session 2021-22 by the 10th of every month Class Amount (in Rs.) V 1100/ VI 1100/ IX 1400/ At the time of admission, an amount equivalent to one month’s Tuition Fee will have to be paid as admission fee. In addition, Development Fee, Session Fee and other Fees for students’ welfare fund, functions and festivals, co- curricular activities, building fund etc., totalling Rs. 21,000/- will be required to be paid at the time of admission. All fees should be paid within the 10thof every month. The charge paid at the time of admission and thereafter are not refundable under any circumstances. The monthly fees as indicated above may be increased marginally year to year, if necessary. Books: Text Books to be purchased as per the approved Book-Lists. General Timing : 10.15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. During Winter Timing : 10.45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Is there any Hostel Facility? No. Not at this moment. But it is likely to come up in near future with financial Assistance from the Guardians and others. School Bus There is no arrangement of School bus at this moment. Caution Guardians are requested to kindly study the prospectus carefully and get their doubts and queries clarified from the Administrator of the School or from the Secretary of the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission, at 7, Riverside Road, Barrackpore, on any working day between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. before getting their wards admitted to the Academy. Needless to mention, the Mission will always be glad to accept constructive suggestions from the guardians for improvement of the Institution. Reference above and my subsequent visit to above premises this is to report that the above mentioned boiler was inspected thoroughly in dry condition and found as follows:- i) General condition of the boiler pressure parts were checked thoroughly and found to be in order. ii) All mountings & fittings of the boiler were inspected in dismantled and cleaned condition and found to be in order. iii) The year of make of the boiler is 1940 and working pressure of the boiler is 10.50 kg/cm2. And the operating temperature is less than 400 Degree C. In view of the above the drums and headers of such boilers shall be inspected by Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing ,Dye Penetrant Test by Remnant Life Assessment Organization approved by the Central Boilers Board as per requirement of Reg 391A Clause (b)sub clause (ii) of IBR 1950 .. Abstract: Background: Urbanisation has turned out to be one of the major symbols of development. In India, urbanisation gained momentum since Independence. Proportion of population living in the urban areas of India has undergone significant rise from 11.4% in 1901 to 31.16% in 2011. Although urbanisation brings about large-scale economic transformation providing people with innumerable services and amenities, it also imparts a significant effect on the physical environment and on the life of the city dwellers. Urbanisation at an accelerated pace not only brings about degradation of vegetation health and amount and triggers the event of urban heat island but also it increases the intensity of problems faced by urban dwellers in their daily life. Panihati Municipal Area is also not an exception. An attempt has been made in this paper to analyse the effect of urbanisation on the vegetation health and urban heat island scenario of Panihati Municipal Area and also make a detailed study of the urban problems faced by the people of Panihati Municipality in their daily lives.
