Also works for the Philadelphia Press as staff artist. Meets George Luks, William Glackens, John Sloan and Robert Henri. 1895 Luks and Glackens join the staff of the Philadelphia Press. Sloan joins later in the year. 1898 Shinn marries Florence Scovel, illustrator and member of Philadelphia’s prestigious Biddle family. 1899 Meets Clyde Fitch, Elsie de Wolf, Stanford White, David Belasco.
