IN SELECTED MUNICIPALITIES OF THE ZAMOŚĆ REGION Hanna Klikocka Department of Economics and Agrobusiness University of Life of Sciences in Lublin K e y w o r d s: potato, weed infestation, soil-agricultural complexes. Abstract The research was conducted on weed infestation of potato crops in fields with different soils in several (9) municipalities in the Zamość region in 2014–2015 were compared with the results of research carried out in 1991–1995. The phytosociological photos were created by Braun-Blanquet’s method, of which 87 representative images were selected for analysis. The photos were taken on three complexes of agricultural suitability of soils: good wheat, defective wheat and good rye. Generally identified 55 species of weeds (43 annual and biennial and 12 perenial). The cultivation of potato less were infested on the complex good wheat and defective than good rye. One photo in the first research period (1991–1995) accounted from 45 to 52 species, while in the second period (2014–2015) from 41 to 49 species. In potato canopy dominated nitrophilous species: Chenopodium album, Echinochloa crus-galli, Matricaria maritima subsp. inodora, Stellaria media, Galinsoga parviflora, Elymus repens and Equisetum arvense. In general, irrespective of the soil complex, the resumption of testing after 20 years in selected locations in various municipalities of the Zamość region indicates is very limited of certain taxa, such as Galeopsis tetrahit, Veronica persica, Papaver rhoeas, Avena fatua, Sinapis arvensis, Spergula arvensis, Fallopia convolvulus and Polygonum persicaria, in addition to Galium aparine and Stellaria media on poorer soil complexes. An increase in infestation of potato was noted for Chenopodium album, Echinochloa crus-galli, Setaria pumila, Anthemis arvensis, Atriplex patula and Lamium purpreum. Among perennial taxa, crops are infested in the highest degree by Elymus repens and Equisetum arvense. Address: Hanna Klikocka, University of Life of Sciences in Lublin, ul. The songMy Little Town of Belz (version sung by Adam Aston, written by Jacob Jacobs) Princely town ¶ Belz is located the focus of dispute between the rulers near the border with Poland between of Poland, Hungary, and Lithuania. In two tributaries of the Bug River – the 1377–1387, the town came under Hun- Solokiya and Richitsa. According to the garian rule. In 1377, Duke Władysław of most widespread hypothesis, the town’s Opole – the governor of the Palatinate name comes from the Old Slavic bełz or of Ruthenia appointed by King Lajos I of bewz, meaning a muddy, damp area. In Hungary and Poland – granted the town the Boyko dialect, the same word means with the Magdeburg law. In 1387, Queen a muddy place difficult to get through. • The Polish-Russian Delimitation in Former East Prussia in the Light of the Potsdam Agreement: Interpretation and Implementation As Against Accomplished Facts
20 POLISH YEARBOOK OF INTERNATIONAL LAW 1993 PL ISSN 0554-498X The Polish-Russian Delimitation in Former East Prussia in the Light of the Potsdam Agreement: Interpretation and Implementation as Against Accomplished Facts TADEUSZ JASUDOWICZ 1. Introductory remarks The notion East Prussia concerns an area of the former Electoral Prussia including Ermland annexed in 1772. After World War the First, according to the peace treaty of Versailles of 28 June, 1919 the area should remain under German sovereignty. However, an attachment of its southern part should be decided by its population in a plebiscite.1 As the results of the plebiscite were unfavourable to Poland, nearly the whole territory of East Prussia belonged to the Third Reich before World War the Second. It constituted an exclave of the Third Reich, and the treaty of Versailles contained provisions dealing with the freedom of passage between the Reich and East Prussia through Polish terri tory.2 The problem of the so-called corridor of Pomerania, causing numerous conflicts, the long boundary between Poland and East Prussia, and an extreme militarization of East Prussia, constituted potentially a great danger for the security and territorial integrity of the Polish State. It should be recalled that a request to establish an extraterritorial railway and highway through Polish territory played an important role in claims of Germany before World War the Second.3 The experience of the interwar period and of the military campaign of September 1939 proved an enormous danger for Poland connected with the existence of an enemy and militarized area being in the past a cradle of the Prussian militarism in its direct neighbourhood.4 1 Cf.

In particular, interested in transboundary water research, there are some examples: Environmental Project Water Management of Kakhovka Reservoir and Lower Dnieper River (2000-2001) and Flood Management in Ukraine and Slovakia (2000-2003), and the 16th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum “Maritime and inland waterways” (2007). The afore-mentioned studies were mostly dedicated to the establishment of a dialog between the governments and stakeholders. So far, basically, there are no applied research in order to perform the risk assessment in particular transboundary areas. For instance, during the past decade, both the Chervonograd coal mining industrial district in the Western Bug river region (the border between Eastern Poland and Western Ukraine) and the mitigating environmental risks for water security have been paid a little attention.

The main water users-pollutants of the Western Bug River basin in the Lviv region were identified. The results of the water samples taken from the control bodies in 2018 were analyzed. A promising way to improve the work of the water basin management of the Western Bug River was proposed. This basin is estimated according to the requirements of the EU Received in revised form 05.07.2018; Water Framework Directive and has 2,044 rivers. Classification of the rivers of the Accepted 23.07.2018 Western Bug by area of drainage basins has shown the following results: in this basin within Ukraine there is one very big river, in fact this is the Western Bug itself. There are also three large rivers – Poltva, Rata and Luha. There are also 30 medium and 2,010 small rivers (among which 1,966 rivers have a length of less than 10 km). Theleading role of natural factors in the formation of the hydrocarbonate-calcium ion composition of the river waters of the Western Bug basin is determined.
