The inserted pages in different handwritings were transcribed from his previous writings by Mrs Wordsworth (Susannah Hartley [Frere]) their daughters, Miss Elizabeth Wordsworth, Is1 Lady Principal of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford Miss Susan Wordsworth, Head of Greyladies, Blackheath". Index in unknown hand at front, giving text from which sermon was preached. Attached at back of book: Letter to Christopher Wordsworth, Sub-Dean of Salisbury, inquiring if he's interested in accepting this item. Letter send by previous owner, Miss M. Roth, D.D., President of Magdalen College Oxford in his 98th year, to Christopher Wordsworth, D.D. then (in 1853) Canon of Westminster, and afterwards Bishop of Lincoln. Alt title: M.J.Routh 1853. A Half Century of Notes on the Day-book of John Dome as edited by F. Madan. "A Half Century of Notes on the Day-book of John Dome, bookseller in Oxford, A.D. 1520, as edited by F. Madan for the Oxford Historical Society, contributed by Henry Bradshaw, Cambridge, 1886". Autograph 5 volume with Chris W's note at front: "Henry Bradshaw died at his table in his rooms at King's College, Cambridge, on the night of 10-11 Feb. 1886". 21. Contains supplement in Chris W's hand for ensuing years. Bookplate "Joseph Foster MA". Handwritten manuscript derived from original notes of William Richardson, Master of Emmanuel College, Cambridge, possibly in the handwriting of Joseph Foster. 22. Note on manuscript by Christopher Wordsworth, Sub-Dean of Salisbury, at front of volume: "The original transcript was begun in 1552 and was carried on until the year 1725.
