Perreault was the 52nd player in NHL history to reach this milestone and is joined by Craig Ramsay as the only two players to play at least 1,000 games with the Sabres.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW • Tonight’s game is the second in a three-game western swing. The team will then visit Montreal before returning home for a five-game homestand. • Michal Neuvirth sustained a lower-body injury during the All-Star break and is expected to miss the entire western trip. • Matt Hackett made his Sabres debut in Edmonton last season, stopping 35 of 36 shots in a 3-1 win on March 20, 2014. • The Sabres have gone 7-2-0 in their last nine games against the Oilers, outscoring them by a 33-17 margin. • Chris Stewart leads the Sabres with 17 career points (11+6) in 22 games against the Oilers. • If he appears in tonight’s game, Josh Gorges will become the 58th active defenseman to play 600 NHL games.
