Rvcs Opposing Schools Directions RVCS OPPOSING SCHOOLS DIRECTIONS PLEASE NOTE: The “Directions” links below are to Google Maps. Those directions and those printed below each school may be different. Thank you for helping keep these directions current. If you find they are unclear or need clarification, please send an email to [email protected]. AUBURN HIGH SCHOOL, Riner, VA (1 HR.) Directions 1650 Auburn School Drive, Riner, VA 24149 I-81,take exit 114 toward VA-8 toward Christiansburg/Floyd. Turn left onto VA-8 S/W Main Street. Continue to following VA-8S for about 9 minutes. Turn right – destination on the right. BLUE RIDGE CHRISTIAN Directions/Map 100 Dinkel Avenue, Bridgewater, VA 22812 540-828-2233 2 hours using a van or school bus Take 81 North to Exit 240 - turn left at the end of the exit. The road will take you directly through Bridgewater College’s campus. Blue Ridge Christian School is located on the right on the other side of the campus. To West Rockingham Park from I-81 Take the Harrisonburg exit for 33 West. Follow 33 W through Harrisonburg. From the intersection of 33 West and 42, the park is 5.2 miles. Continue on 33 West and you will pass Thomas Harrison Middle School on your left. The road will narrow from 4 lanes to 2 lanes. After you pass Dale Auto Parts, West Rockingham Park is on the left. There is a split rail fence and American flag in the field. To West Rockingham Park from Bridgewater Turn right at the stop light just past Blue Ridge Christian School. Take 42 north. In Dayton turn left on Rt. 732 (Eberly Road), across from the Hair Corral. Turn right on Rt. 701 (Silver Lake Road). Follow until you come to a stop sign. Turn left onto 33 West. After you pass Dale Auto Parts on the left, West Rockingham Park is on the left. BLUE RIDGE HOME SCHOOL Take I-81 South to I-77 South, Travel on I-77 South until you reach the Hillsville exit (exit 14), take a right at bottom of the exit ramp, go to 1st stoplight and take left (between two gas stations)onto Farmer's Market Drive, travel 2 1/2 to 3mi. until you come to stop sign and take a right onto Joy Ranch Rd. Travel approx. 1 to 1 1/2 miles. Joy Ranch will be on the right. Take the 2nd drive (there will be a circle drive directly in front of the gym. BRUNSWICK ACADEMY Directions/Map 2100 Planters Road, Lawrenceville, VA 23868 434-848-2220 2 ¾ Hours Take 460 east to Blackstone Take 46 south to Lawrenceville Turn left at the traffic light. One mile to route 606 (to the left) - Service station and accounting firm at this intersection. Two miles down 606 you will see school on right. CARLISLE SCHOOL Directions/Map 300 Carlisle Road, Axton, VA 24054 276-632-7288 Take 220 south (past Martinsville) After 220 becomes 58 East look for an exit to route 650 (Be patient, its about the third exit on 220/58. At the end of the exit ramp turn left towards Martinsville Go ¾ of a mile and turn right onto route 620 (Old Liberty Road) Go down 620 1 3/10 of a mile and turn left on route 961 (Carlisle School Road) You will see the school on the right Tennis and Golf Once you're on 620 go 8/10 of a mile and turn left on Mt. Olivet Road. A few blocks later you will see the country club on the right. CASTLE ROCK GOLF COURSE (Blacksburg) Directions/Map 900 Castle Rock Drive, Pembroke, VA 24136 (540) 626-7276 From Blacksburg, take 460W for ~20 miles to Pembroke. Take left after Subway Restaurant and another immediate left following signs to end of road to Castlerock ~ 1 mile. CHARLOTTE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL Directions/Map 7301 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC 28270 (704) 366-5657 Take I-85 South to Charlotte At Charlotte take I-77 South (Columbia) (Exit 38) Take Brookshire Freeway East (Exit 11) (Brookshire East will change to Brookshire South - don't worry about this) Take Exit 2B (Independence Boulevard - East 74) At 1st light turn right onto Hawthorne Road At next light turn left onto E. 7th Street Go 4.1 miles (7th Street's name will change to Monroe Road) Turn right onto Rama Road Go 1.9 miles Turn left onto Sardis Road Go 1.4 miles (Charlotte Christian School is on the left) CHATHAM HALL Directions/Map 800 Chatham Hall Circle, Chatham, VA 24531 (434) 432-2941 Go 220S to Rocky Mount. Go east on 122/40. Go approximately 2 miles and bear right on Rt. 40 to Gretna. Take 29 S. Look for the 3rd Chatham Hall exit. Take a right. School is about 1/12 mile on right. CHRISTIAN HERITAGE ACADEMY Directions/Map 625 Glenn Wood Drive, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 540-483-5855 US – 220 South to Rocky Mount. Take the VA-40E/VA-40W exit toward VA122/Rocky Mount/Gretna. Turn left onto Tanyard Road. Continue onto S. Main Street. Turn right onto Scuffling Hill Road. Turn left onto Glenn Wood Drive. School will be on the left. FOR GOLF: Westlake Golf Course - 220 S; before Rocky Mount take left on Wirtz Road (Dairy Queen and Bojangles). Go to end of road and take left on Rt. 122. Go 10-12 minutes and take left on Rt. 616 into Golf Course. COVENANT SCHOOL Directions/Map (Not to be confused with New Covenant School in Lynchburg) 175 Hickory Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902 434-220-7329 Interstate 81N to I-64. From Interstate 64, get off at the Fifth Street - Exit 120. Travel south on Fifth Street Extended (away from town) approximately 1/4 mile. At the third left, turn left on Stagecoach Road. Take the first left on Oak Hill and then the first right on to Hickory Street. To Piedmont Virginia Community College (Covenant Soccer) 81N to 64E. Take Rt. 20S Exit. Turn right at the first light (entrance to PVCC). Go straight. Park in the parking lot which is not marked (it is the one after Parking Lot #2) Play between the softball fields. COVINGTON BOYS HOME Directions/Map 414 Boys Home Road, Covington, VA 24426 540-965-7700 Take 220 North To I-64W (12 miles from Covington) Take Callahan Exit Go back towards Covington East Approx. 2 miles Brown Boys Home sign on left Stay left at first Gym is biggest building on property. Road leads to the back of the gym. COVINGTON HIGH SCHOOL Directions 606 S Lexington Avenue, Covington, VA 24426 540-965-1410 Take 220 through Fincastle to Clifton Forge. Pick up 64W at Clifton Forge. Take the second Covington Exit. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp. The school is approximately 1 mile on the right. CRAIG COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL Directions 6 Alleghany Cir. Newcastle, VA 24127 540-864-5191 From Hanging Rock take Rt. 311 to New Castle. Go past Chevron Station. Turn right on 1004 (becomes 615). School is one mile on the right. CROSSROADS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY Directions/Map 1309 Opequon Avenue, Wincester, VA 540-722-8660 Take 81 North to exit 313. Merge onto Millwood Pike/US 17 toward Winchester. Continue to follow US17 north for 1.1 mile. Turn right at Opequon Avenue. DAYSPRING CHRISTIAN ACADEMY Directions 505 Clay Street, SE, Blacksburg, VA 24060 540-552-7777 Directions to Dayspring Christian Academy: Follow I-81 S. Take Exit 118B (Virginia Tech exit) to 460 West. Continue on 460 West into downtown Blacksburg (watch signs which say Blacksburg Left Lane/Virginia Tech Right Lane - stay in left lane). Follow this route which becomes Main Street until you see Blacksburg Middle School on the right. Take the next right onto Clay Street. (A Food Time convenience store is on this corner.) The school’s gymnasium is on Clay Street. To get to the school: From Clay Street, after passing the gymnasium, take the next left onto Prospect Street. Go ½ block and turn left into the Dayspring Christian Academy parking lot. DAYSPRING (cont’d.) To the soccer field: Take the 460 bypass. Exit on the 2nd Prices Fork Road. The Field is one mile on the left. For Soccer 2016: CRC Field (Research Center and Innovation Drive, Blacksburg, VA) Directions/Map I-81 to US-460W to Industrial Park Road in Blacksburg, take exit 51-5B from US 460W. Turn left onto Industrial Park Road, Turn right onto Ramble Road/Research Center Drive. To Bill Brown Stadium for Soccer: (confirmed for girls’ soccer spring 2012 Directions/Map The girls soccer field is located at Nellies Cave Park, 1900 Grissom Lane, Blacksburg. From South Main Street, turn east up Marlington and right on Grissom Lane. The field is on the other side of the line of trees that will be on your left once you've turned on Grissom Lane. We ask that fans sit to the right when they enter the field area, teams to the left. Fans may wish to bring chairs or blankets (there are no bleachers) as well as sunglasses or hats due to the time of day and the possibility of having to look into the afternoon sun. Also, there are no changing facilities at the park. For Golf: From Blacksburg, take 460W for ~20 miles to Pembroke. Take left after Subway Restaurant and another immediate left following signs to end of road to Castlerock ~ 1 mile. For Baseball: Shawsville Baseball Field: Take I-81 to exit 132 toward Dixie Caverns. Turn left off the exit then right onto US460/RT 11.
