Our private spaces were originally, Langton’s Irish Pub, and continues to have some pub characteristics. Matt the Miller’s Tavern is not an Irish Pub, but our restaurant was born out of a visit to the original Matt the Miller’s in Kilkenny Ireland, where the warm hospitality lingered long after the visit was over. We aim to deliver the same warm hospitality and ‘craic’ that we find in great pubs in our private event spaces. - a high energy feeling and sense of community and togetherness. -

Matt the Miller’s Tavern in Carmel City Center has one of the most unique private dining spaces in the Carmel community. With features of wood and stone details throughout, private bars, and a Mezzanine, it is perfect for any kind of event. . High Food and Service Standards Events are serviced from a separate kitchen and with a separate event staff.

Langton’s Room
Our Langton’s Room is located adjacent to Matt the Miller’s Tavern. The room can accommodate up to 70 people in a variety of seating options and offers buffet, plated meal , or custom menu options. —We can accommodate the simplest appetizer reception to the more elaborate seated dinners, and everything in-between.— The private bar in the Langton’s Room is a great place for hanging out but your guests can still be in the middle of everything for your event.
Outside Cocktail Area & VIP Patio
Both areas are SEASONAL and weather dependent.
Outside Cocktail can be utilized for a cocktail hour outside and then moving everyone inside for dinner. The best of both worlds. VIP Patiohas an assortment of high top tables and lower tables for seating 50 people. The space can be used for your whole event time. A space inside will be held for a Plan B for inclement weather. The Wine Bar seats up to 45 people in one area but has several snugs that can be utilized for a larger party. It is a more intimate space and gives a cozy feel for the event. Cocktail receptions and dining receptions are perfect for this space. The Wine Bar can be used in conjunction with the Langton’s Room for larger events.

Room Rental Fees/ Food & Beverage Minimums We do not have fees to rent the rooms for events but food and beverage minimums apply to all private events. All food and beverage sales go towards your food and beverage minimum. Cash Bars and Separate Checks to do not apply to the food and beverage minimum.
Banquet Charge A 6% Banquet Charge applies to all food and beverage purchases. The banquet charge covers the use of standard linens, flatware, glassware, china, tear down and set up. This is not a Gratuity.
Sales Tax All food and beverage purchases are subject to 9% Indiana Sales Tax. Other fees are subject to 7% Indiana Sales Tax.
Wedding Cake Cutting A $1 per person cake cutting fee will apply to cakes cut and served by Matt the Miller’s staff for a wedding event. This fee includes a covered table, staff to cut and serve, and the appropriate china and flatware.
Time Extensions Our private areas are contracted for a four hour block of time. You may choose to extend the time of your event by one hour for a fee of $100.00. This must be arranged in advance of your event.
