There is much to consider in doing so e.g: • Reviewing facilities in properties that have been closed for over 3 months. • Changing interior design and ergonomics to comply with potential social distancing rules. • Ensuring that the health and safety needs of teams are addressed. • Determining how delivery/click & collect can work best alongside dine in. • Ensuring customers feel confident about returning. • Minimising expenditure. • Finding temporary specialist support and solutions due to team furlough. As a collective of six of the leading suppliers in the market we can help with all of this. We also work with a wide range of associates and partners to offer a 360° re-opening package for operators. Some of the relationships between us, and with our clients, go back much further than this. We trust one another implicitly and know we can rely on each other to complete projects on brief, on time and on budget. These are the individuals we call on when we need specialist help and resource on a project because we know they deliver time and time again. Our collective clients come from every part of the sector giving us unique knowledge and experience. My insight What happens to the foodservice sector when the coronavirus packs its bags and leaves town, as one day it will? The answer to this question depends on many things but they will all be influenced in one way or another by the length of time between now and the end of the virus. I have been investigating these issues in conjunction with the IGD over the last few months (and some results have been published in our joint report “Eating Out vs Dining In”). But there are many specifics that remain to be investigated and answered. It seems to me that up to now, for the foodservice sector at any rate and I would guess most other sectors of the economy, there have been four ways that the coronavirus has impacted on the industry and the people and companies within it. First, the virus has exposed faults (and positives) that underline foodservice. Second, it has led to a process of degrading (businesses have been downsized, valued employees have been made redundant and much more). Third, there has been an acceleration of past trends (reduction in overcapacity, and the rebalancing of relationships between tenants and landlords spring to mind).

    Fordham University London Centre DIFFERENCES BETWEEN NEW YORK AND LONDON While many of you will be coming to us from other universities in the United States, most of you will be coming from Fordham in New York City. But whether you’re used to New York, California, or the Midwest, London is a whole other world! GREEN SPACE Central Park is lovely, but London has a lot more green space than New York City. Richmond Park, located in southwest London, is approximately 3 times larger than Central Park, and is home to around 600 free-roaming deer. In central London, you also have Hyde Park, Regent’s Park, St James’ Park, Green Park, and Greenwich Park, just to name the largest ones! THE LAY OF THE LAND While New York is divided into 5 boroughs, and is bordered by the East and Hudson Rivers, London is divided into North and South by the River Thames. The London Centre and most of London’s central attractions are on the north side of the river. However, the London Eye, Tate Modern, and Borough Market are all on the South Bank. London is divided into 32 royal boroughs, but you will more commonly simply refer to the neighbourhoods of London, such as Notthing Hill, Hammersmirth, Kensington, Shoreditch, and Bloomsbury-to name a few. THE SUBWAY / THE TUBE The main benefits of the subway over the tube is that it is cheaper and runs 24 hours. While you’re in London, keep in mind that the “The Night Tube” only runs on Fridays and Saturdays on the Victoria, Jubilee, and most of the Central, Northern and Piccadilly lines.
