Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for Lunar New Year’s Eve 2019

Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Island, Kowloon and the New Territories during the Lunar New Year’s Eve in 2019:

I. SPECIAL TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS

HONG KONG ISLAND (, VICTORIA PARK AND TIN HAU)

(A) Road Closures

The following road sections will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 4 February 2019 at different times specified below. The implementation time may be varied if necessary:

(a) From 10.00 am on 4 February 2019 onwards:

(i) The unnamed road section at the northern entrance of Park Towers car park (except vehicles accessing to Park Towers car park); (ii) Hing Fat Street between and Lau Li Street (except franchised buses and Green Minibuses (‘GMB’)); (iii) The general lay-by on the eastern kerbside of Hing Fat Street between Tsing Fung Street and Lau Li Street; (iv) Lau Li Street between Hing Fat Street and Ngan Mok Street (except disabled parking spaces); and (v) Part of the traffic lanes of between Mercury Street and Yacht Street.

(b) From 4.00 pm on 4 February 2019 onwards:

(i) Sugar Street; and (ii) Gloucester Road northbound between Causeway Road and Great George Street.

(c) From 5.00 pm on 4 February 2019 onwards:

(i) Cleveland Street; (ii) Paterson Street;

Page 1 of 37 (iii) Kingston Street; (iv) Great George Street between Paterson Street and Gloucester Road; and (v) Jardine’s Bazaar.

(d) From 7.00 pm on 4 February 2019 onwards (except franchised buses, green minibuses (GMB) and trams):

(i) eastbound between Percival Street and East Point Road; (ii) eastbound; (iii) The nearside lane of Pennington Street between Irving Street and Yee Wo Street; (iv) Causeway Road eastbound between King’s Road and Moreton Terrace; (v) Yee Wo Street westbound; (vi) Hennessy Road westbound between Jardine’s Bazaar and Percival Street; and (vii) Irving Street.

(e) From 8.00 pm on 4 February 2019 onwards:

(i) east of Percival Street; (ii) east of Percival Street; (iii) Cannon Street; and (iv) Shelter Street.

(f) From 9.00 pm on 4 February 2019 onwards:

(i) The nearside lane of Causeway Road westbound between King’s Road (near Queen’s College) and (near St. Paul's Convent School); (ii) Gloucester Road southbound between the down ramp of flyover and Causeway Road; (iii) Tai Hang Road flyover southbound; (iv) Tai Hang Road flyover northbound; (v) Victoria Park Road flyover northbound; (vi) Causeway Bay Flyover northbound; and (vii) Hing Fat Street between Causeway Road and Lau Li Street (except franchised buses and GMB).

(B) Traffic Diversions

During the above road closure, the following traffic diversions will be implemented:

(a) From 5.00 pm on 4 February 2019 onwards:

(i) Lau Li Street between Electric Road and Hing Fat Street will be re-routed as one-way westbound and closed to public light buses (‘PLB’).

(b) From 9.00 pm on 4 February 2019 onwards:

(i) Vehicles heading for Tai Hang Road flyover southbound will be diverted to Victoria Park eastbound, Wing Hing Street and King’s Road; and

(ii) Vehicles heading for Tai Hang Road flyover northbound to Central will be diverted to Tung Lo Wan Road, Moreton Terrace and .

(C) Pedestrian Precinct

The following road sections will be closed to all vehicular traffic for designation as pedestrian precinct from 4.00 pm on 4 February 2019 to 8.00 am on 5 February 2019:

(i) Lockhart Road east of Cannon Street; (ii) East Point Road; and (iii) Great George Street west of Paterson Street.

(D) Prohibition to learner drivers

Learner drivers will be prohibited from entering the following roads from 4.00 pm on 4 February to 8.00 am on 5 February 2019:

(i) Leighton Road; (ii) Tin Lok Lane; (iii) Caroline Hill Road; (iv) Eastern Hospital Road; (v) Tai Hang Road north of Lai Tak Tsuen Road; (vi) Tung Lo Wan Road; (vii) Electric Road south of Gordon Road; (viii)Morrison Hill Road north of Queen’s Road East; (ix) Hennessy Road; (x) Yee Wo Street; (xi) Causeway Road; (xii) King’s Road; Page 3 of 37 (xiii)Gloucester Road service road; (xiv) Hing Fat Street; (xv) westbound west of Cloud View Road; and (xvi) Wan Chai Road eastbound.

(E) Suspension of parking spaces, car parks and restriction of vehicle access

(a) All vehicles parked in car parks at the above closed roads will not be permitted to enter or leave the car parks until the roads are re-opened for normal traffic;

(b) The on-street parking spaces on the following roads will be suspended from 2.00 pm on 4 February to 8.00 am on 5 February 2019:

(i) All the above closed roads on 4 and 5 February 2019;

(ii) Tung Lo Wan Road;

(iii) Lockhart Road between Canal Road East and Cannon Street;

(iv) Jaffe Road between Canal Road East and Cannon Street;

(v) Tsing Fung Street; and

(vi) Lau Li Street.

(c) All parking spaces in Hing Fat Street Public Car Park (except disabled parking spaces) will be suspended from 10.00 am on 2 February to 10.00 am on 5 February 2019.

(F) Temporary closure of Tin Hau Public Transport Interchange

From 6.00 pm onwards on 4 February 2019, Tin Hau Public Transport Interchange will be suspended. During the above period, the following arrangement of the stops will be implemented:

(i) Bus routes 914 and 968 will be terminated on Tung Lo Wan Road opposite to Queen’s College; (ii) Bus routes 948, E11 and E11A will be terminated on Causeway Road westbound near Queen’s College; (iii) Bus route 307P will be terminated at Ngan Mok Street; (iv) Bus route 25 will omit the stop in Tin Hau Public Transport Interchange; (v) HKI GMB route 49M will omit Hing Fat Street, Tin Hau Public Transport Interchange, King’s Road, Ngan Mok Street, Lau Li Street, and terminated at King’s Road westbound near Lau Sin Street; and (vi) HKI GMB route 39M will be converted to circular route and omit the stop at Tin Hau Public Transport Interchange.

(F) Temporary bus stops arrangements

The bus stop on Victoria Park Road eastbound outside Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter will be suspended from 8.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 4 February 2019.

Members of the public can make enquiries to the bus companies on the details of temporary bus stops arrangements:

(G) Suspension of tram stops

The following tram stops will be suspended from 8.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 5 February 2019:

(a) Causeway Road near Shelter Street (both directions); (b) Yee Wo Street opposite to Sugar Street and Paterson Street (both directions); and (c) Causeway Road outside Victoria Park Main Entrance (both directions).

(H) Suspension and relocation of GMB stops

To tie in with the above road closures, the following GMB stands will be suspended from 5.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 5 February 2019:

(i) The stops of HKI GMB route 4A and 4C on Cannon Street will be relocated to Gloucester Road service road near Percival Street and Gloucester Road service road near Cannon Street respectively;

(ii) The stops of HKI GMB routes 5 and 69X on Lockhart Road will be relocated to Gloucester Road service road near Cannon Street;

(iii) The stops of 40 and 40X in Jardine’s Bazaar will be relocated to Pennington Street outside Dragon Rise;

(iv) The stops of HKI GMB routes 10 and 31 on Jaffe Road east of Percival Street will be relocated to Jaffe Road eastbound between Canal Road East and Percival Street; and

(v) The stop of HKI GMB route 25 in Paterson Street will be suspended and it will be converted into circular service.

(I) Suspension of PLB stands

Page 5 of 37 The PLB stands in Sugar Street and Paterson Street will be suspended from 4.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 4 February 2019.

(J) Suspension of taxi stands

To tie in with the above road closures, the following Taxi stands will be suspended from on 4 February 2019 at the different times specified below:

(a) From 10.00 am on 4 February 2019 onwards:

(i) Lau Li Street; and (ii) Electric Road.

(b) From 4.00 pm on 4 February 2019 onwards:

(i) Paterson Street near Great George Street; (ii) Paterson Street between Gloucester Road Service Road and Kingston Street; (iii) Jaffe Road near Percival Street; and (iv) Lockhart Road near Cannon Street.

(K) Central-Mid-levels Escalator

The services of the Central to Mid-Levels Escalator and Walkway System will be extended to 3.00 am on 5 February 2019.

KOWLOON

(1) Wong Tai Sin Morse Park

The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 5.00 pm on 4 February to 6.00 am on 5 February 2019:

(A) Traffic arrangements

(a) Road closures

The eastern egress of Ching Tak Street public light bus and taxi stands near Wong Tai Sin Government Primary School will be closed. Vehicles will be required to use the western egress and turn left into Ching Tak Street westbound for leaving. The section of Ching Tak Street between Lung Cheung Road and Tung Tau Tsuen Road may be closed according to traffic condition.

(b) Traffic Control

(i) The Police may ban the left-turn movement from Lung Cheung Road westbound into Ching Tak Street and Fung Mo Street depending on traffic condition; and

(ii) The Police will implement no-stopping restriction in the vicinity of Morse Park No. 3 including Ching Tak Street, Tung Tau Tsuen Road, Shatin Pass Road, Fung Mo Street, Fu Mei Street, Wang Tau Hom East Road, Wang Tau Hom South Road and Wang Tau Hom Central Road.

(B) Transport arrangements

(a) Suspension/relocation of bus and GMB stops

The bus and GMB stops in Fung Mo Street southbound outside Morse Park Indoor Game Hall for KMB routes 1, 7 and 11K and cross harbour bus route 113 and Kowloon GMB route 54 will be suspended. Temporary bus and GMB stop will be provided at Fung Mo Street southbound opposite to Morse Park No. 4.

(b) Taxi stand/drop-off point locations

(i) Temporary taxi stand will be provided on Wang Tau Hom East Road southbound outside Wang Hau House; (ii) The lay-by in Ching Tak Street outside Lung Hei House will be converted to temporary taxi drop-off point; and (iii) The single lane of the taxi stand at Ching Tak Street outside Lung Hing House will be divided into two lanes, the left lane will be allowed for boarding and alighting passengers whilst the right lane will be allowed for alighting passengers only.

Traffic at the above road sections will be very congested and the number of parking spaces is limited in the vicinity. Members of the public should use public transport services as far as possible. MTR passengers travel to/from Morse Park Lunar New Year’s Fair should make use of Lok Fu Station.

(2) Wong Tai Sin Temple

The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 6.00 pm on 4 February to 7.00 pm on 5 February 2019 and thereafter between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm daily on 2 to 10, 16 and 17 February 2019 respectively, in order to facilitate traffic and crowd control at Wong Tai Sin Temple during the Lunar New Year:

(A) Road closures

(i) Shatin Pass Road between Lung Cheung Road and Fung Tak Road will be

Page 7 of 37 temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic except for GMB services; and (ii) The unnamed road connecting Wong Tai Sin Road and Wong Tai Sin Temple will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic except for coaches, goods vehicles with valid monthly parking ticket issued by Goldway Carpark, designated vehicles of Sik Sik Yuen and designated vehicles entering and leaving the construction site of Shatin to Central Link.

(B) Traffic Control

All vehicles will be prohibited from parking or waiting at Wong Tai Sin Road (both directions) between Shatin Pass Road and Nga Chuk Street, except for temporary taxi drop-off point at Wong Tai Sin Road westbound.

(C) Temporary taxi stand

The taxi stand on the eastern kerbside lane of the above section of Shatin Pass Road will be suspended. Temporary taxi drop-off point will be provided on Wong Tai Sin Road westbound opposite Chui Yuen House.

(3) Cheung Sha Wan

(A) Temporary relocation of bus stops

The bus stops on Cheung Sha Wan Road westbound outside Cheung Sha Wan Playground will be temporarily relocated to a point near its junction with Hing Wah Street, from 8.00 am on 1 February to 8.00 am on 5 February 2019.

(B) Suspension of parking spaces

All metered parking spaces in Hang Cheung Street will be suspended from 8.00 am on 3 February to 8.00 am on 5 February 2019.

(C) No parking or waiting

All vehicles will be prohibited from parking or waiting (except for picking up/ setting off passengers and loading/unloading goods) in Fortune Street, Hang Cheung Street and Fat Tseung Street from 8.00 am on 3 February to 8.00 am on 5 February 2019.

(4) Mong Kok Fa Hui Park

(A) Suspension of bus stops

The bus stops at the following locations will be suspended from 6.00 pm on 3 February to 6.00 am on 4 February 2019; and from 2.00 pm on 4 February to 7.00 am on 5 February 2019 respectively:

(a) Boundary Street eastbound outside Fa Hui Park; (b) Boundary Street eastbound outside Police Sports & Recreation Club;

Page 8 of 37 (c) Tai Hang Tung Road (both directions) near Tat Chee Avenue; (d) Tat Chee Avenue (both directions) near Osmanthus Road; (e) Embankment Road northbound; (f) Outside No.191 Prince Edward Road West; and (g) Knight Street southbound.

(B) Temporary relocation of bus stops and GMB stops

(a) The bus stops on Prince Edward Road West eastbound outside Diocesan Boys’ School will be temporarily relocated eastward to Prince Edward Road West eastbound outside No. 211-215 (except the bus stops of KMB routes 3C, 87D and 281A) from 6.00 pm on 3 February to 6.00 am on 4 February 2019; and from 2.00 pm on 4 February to 7.00 am on 5 February 2019. (b) The bus stops and GMB stops on Tung Choi Street outside Mongkok Police Station will be temporarily relocated to No. 225 Tung Choi Street between Playing Field Road and Boundary Street from 6.00 pm on 3 February to 7.00 am on 5 February 2019.

(C) Suspension of GMB pick up/drop-off points

The GMB pick-up/drop-off points at the following locations will be suspended from 6.00 pm on 3 February to 6.00 am on 4 February 2019; and from 2.00 pm on 4 February to 7.00 am on 5 February 2019 respectively:

(a) Boundary Street eastbound outside Fa Hui Park; (b) Boundary Street eastbound outside Hong Kong Soka Gakkai Institution; (c) Tai Hang Tung Road (both directions) near Tat Chee Avenue; (d) Tat Chee Avenue (both directions) near Osmanthus Road; (e) Embankment Road northbound; and (f) Outside No. 191 Prince Edward Road West.

(D) Temporary PLB pick-up / drop-off point and taxi stand

A temporary PLB pick-up/drop-off point and a temporary taxi stand will be designated at Lincoln Road near Cumberland Road from 3.00 pm on 3 February to 8.00 am on 5 February 2019.

(E) Suspension of Taxi Stand

The taxi stand at Fa Yuen Street near Prince Edward Road West (Service Road) will be suspended and changed as pick-up/ drop-off point from 8.00 am on 1 February to 8.00 am on 5 February 2019.

(F) Suspension of parking spaces

The following parking spaces will be suspended from 3.00 pm on 3 February to 8.00 am on 5 February 2019:

Page 9 of 37 (a) Metered parking spaces nos. 9607 and 9608 on Tong Yam Street; (b) All metered and motorcycle parking spaces on Duke Street between Embankment Road and Knight Street; (c) All motorcycle parking spaces on Knight Street near its junction with Duke Street; (d) Metered parking space no.13413 on Belfran Road; and (e) All metered parking spaces on Lincoln Road between Cumberland Road and Waterloo Road.

(G) Temporary road closure and traffic arrangements

The following temporary road closure and traffic arrangements will be implemented on the dates and at the time specified below:

(a) From 6.00 pm on 3 February to 4.00 am on 4 February 2019; and from 2.00 pm on 4 February to 7.00 am on 5 February 2019:

(i) The section of Dianthus Road east of Tat Chee Avenue will be closed to all vehicular traffic; (ii) All vehicles on Lincoln Road westbound will not be permitted to turn left onto Cumberland Road southbound (except for taxis); (iii) All vehicles on Essex Crescent will not be permitted to turn left onto Cumberland Road southbound (except for residents); (iv) All vehicles on Embankment Road will not be permitted to turn right onto Duke Street (except for residents); (v) The third lane of Tai Hang Tung Road southbound will be closed to all vehicular traffic; (vi) The third lane of Tai Hang Tung Road northbound will be closed and will not be permitted to turn right onto Tat Chee Avenue; (vii) The first lane of the Flyover joining Cheung Sha Wan Road on the Sham Shui Po side and descending into Boundary Street eastbound will be closed to all vehicular traffic; (viii) The Prince Edward Road West (service road) eastbound between Nathan Road and Tung Choi Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic; and (ix) The first lane of Boundary Street eastbound between Tai Hang Tung Road and the bus stop outside Fa Hui Park will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

(b) From 10.00 pm on 4 February to 3.00 am on 5 February 2019:

(i) The fifth lane of Prince Edward Road West, westbound, before the junction of Yuen Po Street to the ascending of the Flyover will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

(5) Kwun Tong

(A) Road closures

The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic on the dates and

(a) From 3.00 pm to 4:00 am of the following day daily on 3 February and 4 February 2019:

(i) Fuk Ning Road; and (ii) Fuk Tong Road.

(b) From 6.00 pm on 2 February 2019 to 4.00am on 3 February 2019; from 3.00 pm on 3 February to 4.00 am of the following day daily on 3 February and 4 February 2019 :

(i) Kai Lim Road.

(B) Temporary arrangements for bus and GMB routes

The following bus and GMB arrangements will be implemented on the dates and at the time specified below:

Stage 1 From 7.30 am on 2 February to 4.00 am on 5 February 2019, the GMB pick-up/drop-off point on Kai Lim Road will be suspended. Kowloon GMB route 59 on journeys to Kwun Tong Town Centre will omit Kai Lim Road from 7.30 am on 2 February to 4.00 am on 5 February 2019.

Stage 2 From 3.00 pm to 4:00 am of the following day on 3 February and 4 February 2019:

(a) The GMB and bus bays at northern section of Kwun Tong Station Bus Terminus will be suspended. The following temporary service arrangement for bus and GMB routes observing Kwun Tong Station Bus Terminus will be implemented:

I) Bus Routes (i) the terminating points of bus route nos. 89 and 89B at the Bus Terminus will be temporarily relocated to the second and third southernmost bus lay-bys of the bus terminus respectively, journeys to Shatin will be diverted via Kwun Tong Road and Tsui Ping Road before resuming their original routeing; (ii) the en-route stops of bus route nos. 606, 606X, A22 and N29 at the Bus Terminus will be temporarily relocated to the fifth southernmost bus lay-by of the bus terminus; (iii) the en-route stops of bus route nos. 13M, 14B, 15A, and the evening services of 234C and 234D at the Bus Terminus will be temporarily relocated to the roadside stopping point at the bus terminus located near the Hong Kong Student Aid Society Building; (iv) the en-route stops of bus route nos. 16M, 93K, 98A, 601, 601P, 619, 619P, 641, N619 and W2 at the Bus Terminus will Page 11 of 37 not be affected; and (v) the terminating point of route no. 89X will be temporarily relocated to Kwun Tong (Tsui Ping Road) Bus Terminus, an en-route stop of route no. 89X will be temporarily added on the roadside stopping point at the bus terminus located near the Hong Kong Student Aid Society Building and will be diverted via Kwun Tong Road and Tsui Ping Road before arriving Kwun Tong (Tsui Ping Road) Bus Terminus; route no. 89X (Shatin Station bound) will be diverted via Tsui Ping Road southbound, Tsui Ping Road northbound before resuming to its original routeing.

II) GMB Routes

(i) GMB route no. 47 will be diverted via Tsui Ping Road southbound, roundabout outside Tsui Ping South Estate entrance and Tsui Ping Road northbound before resuming its original routeing, and will not observe Kwun Tong Station Bus Terminus and Fuk Tong Road. A temporary GMB stand will be designated at Tsui Ping Road northbound outside Tsui Pak House; (ii) GMB route no. 59 on journeys to Kwun Tong Town Centre will continue to omit Kai Lim Road. For the Tsui Ping bound journey, the GMB route will be diverted via Kwun Tong Road eastbound and Tsui Ping Road northbound before resuming its original routeing, and will not observe Kwun Tong Station Bus Terminus and Fuk Tong Road. A temporary GMB stand will be designated at Tsui Ping Road northbound outside Hong Kong Public Records Building; and (iii) Service of GMB supplementary route no. 59M will be suspended.

(b) The en-route stops of bus route nos. 11B (Tsui Ping bound), 11C (Sau Mau Ping (Upper) bound) and 89C (Tsui Ping bound) on Tsui Ping Road northbound at Kwun Tong Swimming Pool will be suspended; the en-route stops of bus route nos. 11B (Kowloon City Ferry Pier bound), 11C (Chuk Yuen bound) and 89C (Heng On bound) on Tsui Ping Road southbound at Kwun Tong Swimming Pool will be suspended; and

(c) The bus and GMB pick-up/drop-off points on Tsui Ping Road northbound near Fuk Tong Road and Tsui Ping Road southbound outside Kwun Tong Swimming Pool will be suspended.

Stage 3 From 3.00 pm on 4 February to 4.00 am 5 February 2019, the bus stops and GMB pick-up/drop-off points on Lei Yue Mun Road eastbound outside Kwun Tong Swimming Pool will be suspended:

Page 12 of 37 (a) The affected bus routes include 14, 14B, 14X, 15, 15A, 16, 16M, 38, 42C, 62X, 89D, 93K, 98A, 215X, 258D, 259D, 277E, 277X, 296A, 296C, 601, 601P, 606, 619, 641, 671, 796S, A22 and N619

(b) The affected GMB routes include Hong Kong GMB route no. 61, Kowloon GMB route no. 62S and New Territories GMB Route nos. 19S, 102, 102B, 102S and 103.

(C) Suspension of parking spaces and taxi pick up / drop off arrangement

From 8.00 am on 2 February to 4.00 am on 5 February 2019, the metered parking spaces, motorcycle parking spaces, parking spaces for drivers with disabilities and cross harbour taxi stand on Kai Lim Road will be suspended. The lay-by on Tsui Ping Road southbound outside Tsui Lau House will be converted to a temporary taxi pick-up / drop-off point from 3.00 pm on 2 February to 4.00 am on 5 February 2019.

NEW TERRITORIES

(1) Tsuen Wan

(A) Road closures

The following sections of roads will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 6.00 pm to 5.00 am of the following day daily on 3 February and 4 February 2019:

(a) Kai Hong Close; (b) Kai Chi Close; (c) Hoi Pa Street section between its junction with Lo Tak Court and Tai Ho Road; (d) Slow lane of Sha Tsui Road (eastbound) section between its junction with Yuen Tun Circuit and Tai Ho Road; and (e) Slow lane of Sha Tsui Road (westbound) section between its junction with Yuen Tun Circuit and Heung Shing Street.

(B) Suspension of motorcycle parking spaces

The motorcycle parking spaces at Kai Hong Close will be suspended from 6.00 pm to 5.00 am of the following day daily on 3 February 2019 and 4 February 2019.

(C) Suspension of metered parking spaces The meter parking spaces at Sha Tsui Road (No: 20192 – 20195) will be suspended from 6.00 pm to 5.00 am of the following day daily on 3 February and 4 February 2019.

Page 13 of 37 (D) Suspension of public light bus stand

The public light bus stand on Hoi Pa Street outside Wing Tai House will be suspended from 6.00 pm to 5.00 am of the following day daily on 3 February and 4 February 2019.

(E) Temporary Relocation/ Suspension of bus stop

The bus stop on Tai Ho Road (northbound) outside Princess Alexandra Community Centre will be suspended from 6.00 pm to 5.00 am of the following day daily on 3 February and 4 February 2019. Temporary bus stop for KMB route nos. 40, 234A, 234B, 290 and 290A will be provided at 100 meters northward from its original location.

(2) Tuen Mun

(A) Road closures

The following sections of roads will be intermittently closed to vehicular traffic from 6.00 pm to 8.00 am of the following day on 2 February to 4 February 2019, except for police vehicles, emergency vehicles and vehicles permitted by police on site:

The following temporary traffic arrangements will be intermittently implemented from 6.00 pm to 8.00 am of the following day on 2 February to 4 February 2019, except for police vehicles, emergency vehicles and vehicles permitted by police on site:

(E) Prohibition of illegal parking

Illegal parked vehicles on the following roads will be prosecuted or towed without prior notice by police from 6.00 pm to 8.00 am of the following day daily on 2 February to 4 February 2019, except for police vehicles, emergency vehicles and vehicles permitted by police on site:

(A) Closure of cycle track

(A) Road closures

(a) Keung Yip Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 9.00 a.m. on 26 January 2019 to 2.00 p.m. on 5 February 2019;

(b) The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 4.00 p.m. on 4 February to 7.00 a.m. on 5 February 2019:

Motorists heading to One Regent Place are advised to travel via Po Yip Street, Hong Yip Street and Kwan Lok Lane.

(C) Cycling track closure

Cycling track in Keung Yip Street will be closed to all bicycles from 4.00 p.m. on 4 February to 7.00 a.m. on 5 February 2019.

(D) Suspension of parking spaces

(a) Some public parking spaces in Wang Lee Street near Yuen Long Industrial Estate Bus Terminus will be closed (except franchised buses) from 5.00 pm on 2 February to 7.00 am on 5 February 2019;

(b) The parking spaces in Hong Yip Street, Wang Yip Street East between Wang Yip Street South and Hi Yip Street and Wang Yip Street South will be suspended from 4.00 pm on 4 February to 7.00 am on 5 February 2019; and

MTR bus route no. K66 departing from Long Ping Terminus after 8.00 pm on 4 February 2019 will be diverted via Kwong Yip Street, Fo Yip Street, Wang Yip Street West, Fu Yip Street and Wang Lok Street before resuming its original routeing on its journey to Tai Tong. A temporary bus stop will

III. REMOVAL OF ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES

Motorists are advised that strict enforcements will be taken by the Police, including multiple ticketing and towing of vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements specified above, without prior notice.

IV. ATTENTION AND APPEAL

Appropriate traffic aids and signs will be provided to guide motorists. Public transport operators will also display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures, traffic control and public transport diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the areas. Page 36 of 37

Members of the public who intend to go to the affected areas are advised to use public transport services as far as possible, plan their journey early and allow more travelling time to cater for unexpected delay. Members of the public are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in cases of traffic congestion, observe the instructions given by the Police; and watch out for the latest traffic news through media.

To boost the turnover rate of on-street parking spaces, motorists are advised to avoid long- term parking at designated parking spaces during Lunar New Year holidays. Moreover, motorists are further advised to pay parking fees for all vehicles parking at metered parking spaces on-street unless the vehicles are parked at designated parking spaces which are not charged on Sundays and public holidays.
