  • Hattori Hachi.’ My Favourite Books
Praise for ‘A great debut novel.’ The Sun ‘Hattie is joined on her terrifying adventures by some fantastic characters, you can’t help but want to be one of them by the end – or maybe you’re brave enough to want to be Hattie herself . .’ Chicklish ‘Hachi is strong, independent, clever and remarkable in every way . I can’t shout loud enough about Hattori Hachi.’ My Favourite Books ‘Jane Prowse has completely nailed this novel. I loved the descriptions, the action, the heart-stopping moments where deceit lurks just around the corner. The story is fabulous, while almost hidden profoundness is scattered in every chapter.’ Flamingnet reviewer, age 12 ‘Hattori Hachi is like the female Jackie Chan, she has all the ninjutsu skills and all the moves! The Revenge of Praying Mantis is one of my all time favourite books! I love the fact that both boys and girls can enjoy it.’ Jessica, age 12 ‘I couldn’t put this book down – it was absolutely brilliant!’ Hugo, age 9 ‘This delightful book is full of ninja action and packed with clever surprises that will hook anyone who reads it!’ Hollymay, age 15 ‘This was the best book I’ve ever read. It was exciting and thrilling and when I started reading it, I could not put it back down.’ Roshane, age 18 ‘Amazing! Couldn’t put it down. Bought from my school after the author’s talk and finished it on the very next day! • Resolutions and Decisions of the Economic and Social Council
E/2019/99 Resolutions and Decisions of the Economic and Social Council 2019 session New York and Geneva, 26 July 2018 – 24 July 2019 Economic and Social Council Official Records, 2019 Supplement No. 1 United Nations • New York, 2020 NOTE The resolutions and decisions of the Economic and Social Council are identified as follows: Resolutions Until 1977 (up to and including the resumed sixty-third session), the resolutions of the Economic and Social Council were numbered consecutively and were identified by an arabic numeral followed by an indication of the session in parentheses (for example: resolution 1733 (LIV), resolution 1915 (ORG-75), resolution 2046 (S-III), adopted at the fifty-fourth session, the organizational session for 1975 and the third special session, respectively). When several resolutions were adopted under the same number, each of them was identified by a capital letter (for example: resolution 1926 B (LVIII), resolutions 1954 A to D (LIX)). The last resolution so numbered is resolution 2130 (LXIII), of 14 December 1977. Since 1978, as part of the new system adopted for symbols of Council documents, the resolutions have been numbered on a yearly basis and identified by two arabic numerals separated by an oblique stroke, the first numeral indicating the year, the second the number of the resolution in the annual series (for example: resolution 1990/47). Decisions Until 1973 (up to and including the resumed fifty-fifth session), the decisions of the Council were not numbered. From 1974 to 1977 (up to and including the resumed sixty-third session), the decisions were numbered consecutively and were identified by an arabic numeral followed by an indication of the session in parentheses (for example: decision 64 (ORG-75), decision 78 (LVIII), adopted at the organizational session for 1975 and the fifty-eighth session, respectively).

  • A Hepatitis C Awareness Network for Youth in Cairo, Egypt School: Washington University in St
Title: Shoot for Safety: A Hepatitis C Awareness Network for Youth in Cairo, Egypt School: Washington University in St. Louis Student Information: Aryan Weisenfeld, student at Washington University in St. Louis (a UWC) and Anant Vinjamoori, student at Stanford University (non UWC), home countries both USA The basic premise of our hepatitis C project in Egypt was to recruit and train a core of 20-30 Egyptian college students to spread the message of hepatitis C awareness to their communities and social circles as “peer educators”. We hoped to then use the mobilization of these youth to create a hepatitis C awareness initiative in the country that would be both refreshing and long-lasting. Our previous experience in working with hepatitis C awareness consisted of 1 year of working with the Missouri/Kansas chapter of the American Liver Foundation to raise awareness of hepatitis C amongst high school students in St. Louis, Missouri. Building on this previous experience, we applied for a $10,000 grant from the Katherine Wasserman Davis foundation, which we were awarded in March. Months before our grant application was submitted, we began developing instructional materials that were used to train youth peer hepatitis C educators as well as the production of the printed informational media that was distributed to our peer educators. We developed a pamphlet which discussed general information about the disease as well as measures that youth can take to avoid contraction and transmission. Our project material was developed by working with our previously developed materials, as well as material supplied to us by Missouri/Kansas Chapter of the American Liver Foundation.
