Celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal visited The Early Show to show how to get yourself looking great without having your face melt off in the summer heat!

As soon as heat and humidity set in, so does sweating. And if you're wearing foundation, it can turn into a greasy, slick mess, leaving your skin looking oily, streaky, and patched with clumps of makeup. So can you get your skin looking dewy and beautiful without having the heat melt it off? The secret, says Mally, is to use primer and a powder foundation. The primer will lock moisture into your skin, and provide a smooth surface to apply foundation on; the powder foundation will cover your skin to even it out and make it look glowy without risking melting (since it's oil free)

Directions:

1) Apply the primer all over an already cleansed and moisturized face and allow to sink in skin for one minute.

2) Apply a powder foundation with a brush in a circular motion buffing it into the skin. This works the best because it gives a seamless natural finish that doesn't look like makeup. It also combats shine, and it's an all-in-one foundation & powder application!

Many women find that after applying their eye makeup in the morning, by mid-afternoon it's run and melted down their eyes, leaving them with dark streaks and shadows well below the lash line. But for most of us, not wearing eye makeup is simply not an option. What to do? Mally says it's all about waterproof liner (staying away from oil-based pencils), and waterproof mascara. (note: Mally will be showing one of her products for this - the 24/7 eyeliner kit...we can say that other options include gel liners, liquid liners, and other fast-drying liners that stay in place).

Directions:

1) Use a waterproof liner to ensure eye makeup does not travel, melt or smudge during heat. For extra insurance, set with a translucent powder and revamp with a corresponding eye shadow color.

2) Always curl lashes and apply two coats of water resistant mascara on top lashes only!

Directions:

1) Stay away from the thick lipsticks or too sticky gloss! Apply a lip stain in a natural shade that will last throughout the day.

2) For extra moisture and the just the right amount of shine, add a slick gloss to complete the look!
