St. Columba's Boys National School Douglas St. Columba’s Boys National School Douglas Sciath Na Scol Football ‘F1’ Final Wednesday 16th November 2011 Situtated on a five acre campus in the heart of Douglas, our school has been a centre for learning for over 100 years. Our most important resource is our staff, the principal, class teachers, and learning support teachers. We also have in addition, classroom assistants, administrative and maintenance staff. Our aim is to help each pupil in our care to grow and develop in a stimulating and enriching environment, so that his full potential is realised. St. Columba’s has a strong sporting tradition. Given the tradition of the GAA in the Douglas area and its importance to the local community, both hurling and football are developed by our talented teaching staff in partnership with Douglas GAA club. I am in 5th class. I live in Monkstown. I play right corner back with the school team. I play with Douglas GAA. My favourite TV show is Family guy. Message from the Principal I am very proud that once again we have reached a Sciath na Scol Roinn A Football Final. Sciath na Scol is a great competition and to reach the final is an added bonus. It gives the whole school community a great sense of pride and excitement. We have an outstanding record in this competition and hopefully this will continue on Wednesday 16th November in Páirc Uí Rinn. I take this opportunity to thank our boys on the panel for their tremendous commitment and efforts in representing the school and reaching the final. Special thanks to our Deputy Principal, Mr. Bernard Lynch, Mr. O’Connor, and Mr Eddie Murphy for their involvement in training the team. Finally, a huge thank you to all the teachers, parents and supporters who have helped along the way.

There was a great turnout with some stiff competition in the 10K race. Nenagh Triathlon Club’s Darren Dunne was the first home with Siobhan O’Doherty on his heels and claiming the prize for the first woman home. The family walk added an extra dimension to the day and it was great to see all the kids enjoying the sunshine, treats and spot prizes. BUNÓRDAlTHE In order that the proceedings of the Convention be carried out without delay the following Standing Orders will be observed. 1. The proposer of a motion or an amendment thereto may speak for five, but not more than five minutes. 2. A delegate speaking to a resolution or an amendment must not exceed three minutes. 3. The proposer of a resolution or amendment may speak for a second time for five minutes before a vote is taken, but no other delegate may speak for a second time to the same resolution or amendment. 4. The Chairman may at any time he considers a matter sufficiently discussed call on the proposer for a reply, and when this has been given a vote must be taken. 5. A delegate may with the consent of the Chairman move ‘that the question now be put’ after which, when a proposer has spoken, a vote must be taken. 6. Convention shall not be entitled to consider any matter not on the Agenda, except with the consent of a majority comprising two-thirds of the votes of those present,voting and entitled to vote.
