Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Houston, TX) November 2019-Present Position: Fee basis psychologist conducts police pre-employment and annual psychological evaluations.
Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Houston, TX) March 2009-September 2019 Position: Staff Neuropsychologist- Mental Health Care Line & Community Integration Program Activities: Conducted neuropsychological evaluations and consultation for both in- and out-patients referred by mental health, spinal cord injury, primary care, community living center, community-based outpatient centers and other Care Lines and referral sources within VA. Patients present with a range of neurological and psychiatric syndromes and injuries including, but not limited to: neurodegenerative disorders, traumatic brain injury, stroke, cerebrovascular disease, parkinsonism, demyelinating disease, seizure disorder, brain tumor, chronic pain, posttraumatic stress disorder, mood disorder, and somatoform disorder.

Mentis Neuro Rehabilitation (Houston, TX) March 2008-February 2009 Position: Staff Neuropsychologist at a post-acute residential and outpatient acquired brain injury rehabilitation facility geared toward increasing individuals’ level of independence and community reentry. Populations served include traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and other acquired brain injury. Responsibilities included patient assessment, behavior management, treatment management, and case management within a multidisciplinary team setting. Also conducted group and individual psychotherapy and cognitive therapy sessions.
John W. Largen and Associates (Houston, TX) September 2005-February 2008 Position: Neuropsychologist in a group private practice. Conducted neuropsychological assessments and made treatment recommendations for children and adults with neurological and psychiatric disorders. Common referral questions included clarification of diagnostic matters in mild cognitive impairment and various dementia populations. Provided supervision to doctoral graduate students.
