Wednesday Walk on Private Property on the Eastern Side of the Tinderries - 3 November 2010 We approached the property via Captains Flat and the Jerangle Road, then turning onto Tinderry Road. It had some frontage onto the Queanbeyan River. We walked mainly Eucalyptus pauciflora woodland with an interesting understorey, recording many species. Flowering were a number of orchids - many Diuris chryseopsis, Arachnorchis atrovespa, Stegostyla cucullata, Stegostyla moschata and some Thelymitra in bud - Craspedia variabilis, Ajuga australis, Ranunculus lappaceus, a heath which is now known as Acrothamnus hookeri, Bossiaea buxifolia, B. foliosa, Pomaderris eriocephala, Phebalium squamulosum ssp. ozothamnoides, Brachyscome spathulata and many more. After leaving the property, we continued up and over the Tinderries checking out the regeneration after last year's fire. It is still very bleak but there were good patches of flowers in spots, including Stypandra glauca, Derwentia perfoliata, Tetratheca sp., Ranunculus lappaceus, Brachyscome spathulata, Craspedia variabilis and more Eucalyptus pauciflora woodland Image Diuris chryseopsis Image by Roger Stegostyla cucullata Image by Graeme by Graeme Kruse Farrow Kruse Ranunculus lappaceus Image by Graeme Arachnorchis atrovespa Image by Acrothamnus hookeri Image by Roger Kruse Graeme Kruse Farrow Calotis scabiosifolia var. integrifolia Phebalium squamulosum ssp.
