Once there, the Hulk is enslaved as a gladiator for an evil ruler's games where no one expects him to survive. However, the Hulk's might proves everyone wrong to the point where some suspect he is the prophesied deliverer of that world. Although the Hulk does not care about such things, he still finds himself being a catalyst that could change the fate of the world. Written by Kenneth Chisholm kchishol rogers. I wasn't sure if i would like the somewhat-more intelligent sounding hulk vs my good old one-syllable brute As a big hulk fan but not a hard core comic fanatic i loved this DVD. Actually I liked it much more than the "Hulk VS" which i thought were well done as well. I never followed the Planet-Hulk comics too closely and while glancing at covers was wondering what was going on but Hulk: Planet Hulk i know and I'm glad i got to experience it from a fresh perspective. Fantastic Hulk: Planet Hulk and character development I loved this new world I would have preferred the Silver Surfer being free'd like the comics Lots of Hulk fighting while developing a very nice story and some very interesting characters I like how the Hulk after being exiled from Earth is overcoming his resentment of mankind and slowly starting to care about other beings again. This along with many other things is what the movies never capture I just wish they would have included one feat of strength or at least one Hulk: Planet Hulk example of Hulk: Planet Hulk growing proportional to rage. There are implied amazing scenes but nothing in your face like I would have preferred. Like Hulk VS I would love to see more following this story line. Well DONE!!! So When is someone going to get it right on the big Hulk: Planet Hulk I mean both big screen hulk movies have some good qualities but too bad neither of them capture story or action that remotely compares to the brilliant Marvel animation productions. Background Guide Marvel Summit DMUN-2018 Executive Board Aditya Singh(Chair) Kushal Mital (Co-Chair) Arushi Tripathi (Moderator) Committee Overview:- 24th April, The world, nay, THE UNIVERSE is in chaos. Fathers saw their sons turn to dust, Kings vanished so did friends and their family. The Avengers have never been in such a situation, dust all around them, realizing….. They lost. They lost half the universe. The Mad Titan Thanos has carried out the iconic snap! But that is not all, fate seems to have different plans for some. A interdimensional rift caused due to the Space Stone opened a temporary portal which caused The elite Mutant Race of the XMEN to be drawn in into the universe. The mind and Soul Gems have “enlightened” Professor Xavier and Logan with the events which took place and potentially life changing truth, a secret which could be the key to avenging the universe. So what will it be - The Mutants Untied with the Avengers or an outright war for the universe and against the Last survivor of Titan? Remember - “United We Stand, Divided We Fall.” 1 Committee will take place at a freeze date of 30th April, When Anthony Stark meets Professor Xavier. Classes of enhanced humans:- Skill Skill heroes are completely normal humans who have reached proficiency with a specific type of skill which could deem them a lethal weapon in their own right. Black Widow, Hawkeye and Okoye come under this class. Tech These are either machines themselves or humans in suits of armor that make them extremely powerful. They may also be tech heroes in case they are assisted by technological weapons.

  • Why Wonder Woman Matters
Why Wonder Woman Matters When I was a kid, being a hero seemed like the easiest thing in the world to be- A Blue Beetle quote from the DC Comics publication The OMAC Project. Introduction The superhero is one of modern American culture’s most popular and pervasive myths. Though the primary medium, the comic book, is often derided as juvenile or material fit for illiterates the superhero narrative maintains a persistent presence in popular culture through films, television, posters and other mediums. There is a great power in the myth of the superhero. The question “Why does Wonder Woman matter?” could be answered simply. Wonder Woman matters because she is a member of this pantheon of modern American gods. Wonder Woman, along with her cohorts Batman and Superman represent societal ideals and provide colorful reminders of how powerful these ideals can be.1 This answer is compelling, but it ignores Wonder Woman’s often turbulent publication history. In contrast with titles starring Batman or Superman, Wonder Woman comic books have often sold poorly. Further, Wonder Woman does not have quite the presence that Batman and Superman both share in popular culture.2 Any other character under similar circumstances—poor sales, lack of direction and near constant revisions—would have been killed off or quietly faded into the background. Yet, Wonder Woman continues to persist as an important figure both within her comic universe and in our popular consciousness. “Why does Wonder Woman matter?” To answer this question an understanding of the superhero and their primary medium, the comic book, is required, Wonder Woman is a comic book character, and her existence in the popular consciousness largely depends on how she is presented within the conventions of the comic book superhero narrative.

  • “I Love You 3000” an Analysis of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Emilie Højer Jørgensen and Maya Majgaard Herr Steen Ledet Christiansen Engelsk speciale 2 June 2020 Aalborg University “I love you 3000” An analysis of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Jørgensen & Herr 2 Abstract In this thesis, we will examine if the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be considered complex. We will analyse the following films Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame which are all from Marvel Cinematic Universe’s third phase. We have chosen these films because they are connected in terms of storylines, characters, and worlds. We will focus on transmedia storytelling, seriality, kernels and satellites, worldbuilding, and complex media in order to examine the complexities within the films. Traditionally, transmedia storytelling is defined as one continuous story across multiple instalments and platforms. Two important aspects of transmedia storytelling are seriality and worldbuilding, where seriality deals with how stories are told across instalments and worldbuilding deals with how a fictional world is created and what it takes to make a fictional world believable. Kernels and satellites deal with major and minor events that occur in a narrative text and how they impact each other and complex media deals with how popular culture is becoming more and more complex because of multiple storylines that occur in different mediums. It is through these concepts that we will analyse the complexities within the films. Civil War and the two Avengers films are very serial because they are linked together through information and events that continue from previous films. The three films require the viewers to be familiar with the universe beforehand because they rely heavily on characters, storylines, and events from previous films.

An Annotated Bibliography by Jack Baur and Amanda Jacobs-Foust with Carla Avitabile, Casey Gilly, Jessica Lee, Holly Nguyen, JoAnn Rees, Shawna Sherman, and Elsie Tep May 17th, 2012 Table of Contents Introduction 2 Young Readers 3 Middle School 7 High School 14 Older Teens 22 Prepared by BAYA for the California Library Association 1 Introduction It’s no secret that comics (or “graphic novels,” if you prefer) are hot items in the library world these days. Oh, we’ve known that for years, but recently publishers have been getting into the game in a big way. Too big, arguably. As publishers struggle, it seems like more and more they are turning to graphic novels as new revenue streams, to diversify existing properties, or as ways to repackage old content. With the deluge of titles coming at us, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for a librarian who isn’t deeply invested in their GN collection or tuned into the world of comics publishing to discern the excellent titles from the merely popular, and the quality from the... well, crap. And oh there’s a lot of crap out there these days... But there’s a whole lot of great stuff, too. Comics are a wonderful and unique medium, which allow any kind of story or instruction to be delivered in a way that is fun, engaging, and accessible. Just like other storytelling forms, the content can be simple and amusing, or it can be deep and challenging. It’s no surprise that comics are seeing such a jump in popularity and acceptance now.
