Fiesta de la Flor, presented by CITGO, announces 2016 hosts Corpus Christi, Texas –April 21, 2016- The Corpus Christi Convention & Visitors Bureau is happy to announce the hosts of this year’s Fiesta de la Flor: Angelica Vale and Rudy Trevino. Mexican actress, singer and comedian Angelica Vale will again grace the stages of Fiesta de la For, presented by CITGO, in Corpus Christi as host of the signature Corpus Christi festival honoring Selena Quintanilla Perez. In November, Mrs. Vale joined Telemundo’s hit primetime variety show, ¡Qué Noche! con Angélica y Raul, alongside co-host Raul Gonzáles. Well-known and loved within Latin America & the U.S., Mrs. Vale has accomplished much during her 30+ year career. With hundreds of roles & projects ranging from film, television, theater and musical recordings, she has been embraced for her dynamic personality and influence as a Latina. In 2014, Mrs. Vale was named one of People En Espanol’s “50 Most Beautiful”, as well as her recognition in 2012 by the publication as one of the “50 Most Influential Latinas”. Awards and recognitions for her accomplishments are seemingly endless, including multiple TV y Novelas awards in Mexico, recognition for accomplishments in business in both Mexico & the U.S. and many more. Joining Mrs. Vale as co-host of this year’s Fiesta de la Flor will be local Tejano expert and South Texas talent, Rudy Trevino. Mr. Trevino is the Executive Producer and host of the “Tejano Gold Countdown”, leading nationally syndicated bilingual radio show with 135 affiliate radio stations throughout the U.S. and Mexico; broadcast journalist with Corpus Christi ABC-affiliate, KIII television; and host of Domingo Live, a south Texas tradition that broadcasts live each week. Mr. Trevino, a sixth generation Texan, is a two-time Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist and news anchor with 35 years of media experience. Highly-accomplished, he has been featured in several publications including Time Magazine, Billboard, Nuestras Vidas, Hispanic Business and others. As the recipient of the Tejano R.O.O.T.S. Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as many other notable recognitions, Mr. Trevino is known for his professionalism & influence within the Hispanic community and undeniable passion for Tejano music and its history.
