They enjoyed a fabulous cycling and sailing trip crossing different landscapes in both Belgium and Holland. They cycled and toured in the daytime and slept on the barge at night. They visited green Dutch polder landscapes and quiet roads and villages. They viewed the picturesque countryside between the Flemish cities and the rich history of the old city- centers of Amsterdam, Gouda, and Bruges.

GATOR TALES AUGUST 2015 P A G E 30 Recent Special Activities Trip Capt. Hiram’s, Sebastian - July 17th-19th

52 Gators enjoyed a FUN filled Summer Getaway weekend with the Captain! WOW is the best word to describe the event that started with a HH get together poolside with delicious food, plenty of cold beverages, Jell-O shots and Gator friends. The evening went by quickly at the Sandbar dancing to the sounds of Bullet Theory. After the last Ga- tor standing finally went to sleep, morning came by real quick with mimosas, pastries and egg sandwiches cooked by Bill Lobb. The River King cruise had about 30 Gators aboard as they enjoyed the scenic tour of the river. Others en- joyed paddle boarding and kayaking both days with only 1 minor injury occurring. A feast was had on hot dogs plus yummy sides poolside for lunch, with plenty of more cold beverages. While some enjoyed relaxing poolside others went to Mel Fischer’s Museum, some even decided to do a Pub Crawl at the various bars along the river. More Fun!!!! Gators enjoyed dining Saturday night at the local seafood restaurants, then back to the Sandbar for more mu- sic. They evening still rocked on with karaoke poolside, more Jell-O shots and cold beverages still flowing!!!!!! This will be an event to remember, Gators partied with a purposed that was to have FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!!!!
