Brenta and Paganella Dolomites The Cima Tosa, with its 3173 mts, the Campanil Bass (2883 mts), the other peaks of the Brenta Dolomites and Cima Paganella are the scene of several ascensions, countless paths, hiking and climbing at all levels, perfect for those who like eco-tourism traveling the classical access routes along the valley of the Brenta saws, climbing Pradel, through Valbiole or Selvapiana. Here, professional hikers can experience the thrill of climbing and of the vie ferrate of the Brenta Dolomites, which have no equal in number and beauty, like for example the famous Via delle Bocchette, the most exciting equipped route of the Dolomites. You can also go hiking on Paganella, one of the most beautiful mountains of Trentino, a smaller share (2124 mts), but with dominant views on the beautiful valley of the Adige, the Brenta Dolomites and, on clear days, the lake Garda. A Hiking program suitable for everyone You learn to get to know the environment and natural heritage of inestimable value, which in Trentino is respected and protected thanks to the added value that gives the Brenta Paganella Dolomites’ Mountain Guides, available to explore the mountain in its wildest and unusual aspects. The group, which was born on the plateau of Paganella, holds three generations of mountain guides, each with its own specialization. The activities range from simple and enjoyable one-day excursions to trips and nature walks for the family, educational visits to farms, climbing courses, walks along the railroads, classic climbs in the Dolomites and others. The main proposal for the summer of 2012 contains the Cima Canfedin departing from Andalo, the sunrise on Piz Gadin (three dates in July and August) also departing from Andalo; the Rifugio Pedrotti and the circuit of the Refuges departing from Molveno; a night visit to the Rifugio Croz always departing from Molveno and the “experience nature and taste the flavors of Mountain” proposal departing from Fai.

A systematic analysis of the geographic variation of both valve shape and wing pattern reveals that the subspecies ofErebia euryale can be clustered into three groups, characterised by their valve shape. The adyte-group comprises the Alpine ssp. adyte and the Apenninian brutiorum, the euryale-group in- cludes the Alpine subspecies isarica and ocellaris, and all remaining extra- Alpine occurrences. The third group (kunz/-group), not recognised hitherto, is confined to a restricted, entirely Italian, part of the south- ern Alps. It comprises two subspecies: ssp. pseudoadyte (ssp. n.), hardly distinguishable from ssp. adyte by its wing pattern, and ssp. kunzi, strongly melanistic and even exceeding ssp. ocellaris in this respect. The ssp. pseudoadyte territory is surrounded by the valleys of the rivers Adda, Rio Trafoi and Adige, and ssp. kunzi inhabits the eastern Venetian pre-Alps, the Feltre Alps and the Pale di San Martino. The interven- ing region (the western Venetian pre-Alps, the Cima d'Asta group and the Lagorai chain) is inhabited by intermediate populations.
