license for an outdoor beer garden during the Downtown Timmins BIA Heritage Day Celebrations to take place at the corner of Pine and Third Avenues on June 22 23 and 24 2000 AND FURTHER THAT the hereby support the attached resolutions of the Regional Municipality of Sudbury under date of May 25 2000 petitioning the Government of Ontario to reappoint Gerry Lougheed Jr to the Board of Directors of Cancer Care Ontario Northeast Regional Council and petition the Government of Ontario for compensation to cancer patients who must travel for medical treatment CARRIED Moved by Lou Battochio 00193 Seconded by Tom Laughren THAT Council does hereby approve a request by Justin and Sue Ellery for the closure of Claimpost Trail on June 17 or 18 2000 commencing at 300 pm for holding a Block Party subject to providing the City with a copy of their liability insurance in the amount of 2 million dollars naming the City of Timmins as a coinsured AND FURTHER THAT proper signage be posted AND Timmins Council has by resolution approved the report and recommendations of the CAO under date of April 28 2000 re utilization of retirement debenture debt NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council does hereby approve an amendment to the report which would provide for an allocation of a percentage or an allocation of the debenture debt retirement to be used for soft services on an annual basis and to be determined by the next Council AND FURTHER THAT Administration be requested to submit a proposal for the reallocation of the
