DELEGATIONS

Drainage Issue

Mr. Romley Love and Mr. Jumaan Vandenberg addressed Council regarding a drainage matter along County Road No. 4 at Brown Road, Township of Stone Mills. Steve Roberts, Technical Coordinator, Roads and Bridges and Alwyn Huigens, Senior Projects Manager, Totten Sims Hubicki provided technical information regarding this matter.

Moved by Councillor Macdonald Seconded by Councillor Remington That the February 13,2001 - staff report re: Request for Drainage Improvements on County Road No. 4 at Brown Road (Basswood Hill) Township of Stone Mills (Technical Co-ordinator, Roads and Bridges) be noted and received; and hrther, That the County undertake drainage improvements along County Road No. 4 at Brown Road, (Basswood Hill) Township of Stone Mills in order to increase the capacity of the ditch and culverts along the frontage of the property owned by Mr. Romley Love and a portion of the property owned by Mr. Juriaan Vandenberg; and further, That Mr. Love and Mr. Vandenburg release and forever discharge the Corporation of the County of Lennox and Addington from any and all actions, claims and demands of any nature whatsoever arising from the drainage problems experienced on their properties; and further, That such waiver of claim be executed prior to the work being undertaken. Moved by Councillor Remington CC-01-58 Seconded by Councillor Hodson CARRIED That the February 16,2001 - staff report re: Bell Neutral Answer Service (BNAS) (Administrative Support Officer) be noted and received; and further, That Seaway Communications develop a proposal regarding 9- 1- 1 Call Answering which will outline service information and a one year cost quotation to be submitted by March 7,2001; and further, That Council seek a similar proposal from Bell Neutral Answer Service to be submitted by March 7,2001.
