Tutti gli avidi parenti accorsi per ottenere l’eredità verranno cacciati di casa a bocca asciutta. PRESENTAZIONE Prendete “Parenti serpenti” di Monicelli, immaginate una musica frizzante e incalzante e un gruppo di cantanti‐attori in grado di dar vita attraverso il canto ad un gruppo di famigliari avidi e truci: avrete l’opera comica in un atto “Gianni Schicchi”. L’opera è stata scritta nel 1918 e prevede un’ambientazione medievale, essendo basata su un personaggio dantesco. Un libretto d’opera che si presta ad essere trasformato in sceneggiatura grazie ad una storia vivace, un ritmo incalzante, e a 15 spassosi personaggi. Un’opera lirica che sembra proprio l’antesignano della più felice commedia all’italiana. SOGGETTO Il ricco mercante e collezionista toscano Buoso Donati, muore improvvisamente a casa sua. La morte è avvolta nel mistero e forse qualcuno ha contribuito al decesso del vecchio, per poter velocizzare la possibilità di ottenere la sua fortunatissima eredità. Tutti i parenti accorrono per piangere la scomparsa di Buoso, ma in realtà stanno solo aspettando di capire dove andranno a finire i soldi del vecchio e iniziano a mettere a soqquadro la casa alla ricerca del testamento.

Tuesday 1 June 2021 The Royal Opera House announces full details of the 2021/22 Season • 11 new productions, including 5 world premieres, and 20 revivals. • An exciting roster of UK and international talent with many debuts The Royal Opera House today confirms details for its 2021/22 Season, the first full Season since 2019. Opening on Monday 13 September, the Season includes five world premieres from The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera, classic revivals and an exciting roster of international and UK talent performing across the two stages of the Royal Opera House. In its 90th anniversary year, The Royal Ballet presents a Season that respects the past and heralds the future. Three world premieres, including Wayne McGregor’s The Dante Project, Christopher Wheeldon’s Like Water for Chocolate and a new work by American choreographer Kyle Abraham, are performed alongside much-loved 19th-century classics and heritage ballets by Frederick Ashton and Kenneth MacMillan. The Linbury Theatre hosts a raft of partnerships and co-productions including with Ballet Black, Alessandra Ferri, Yorke Dance Project and a world premiere from Company Wayne McGregor. Creative opportunities for emerging talent will also feature with Draft Works and the Next Generation Festival. Saverio Clemente Andrea De Amici Luca Targetti Recentemente insignita del prestigioso “Premio Abbiati” dell’Associazione Critici Musicali italiani, per “tecnica, musicalità, convincente gioco scenico che le permettono di fornire prove di indubbio valore, sostenute dall'adeguata conoscenza dello stile di ogni partitura”, il soprano Carmela Remigo inizia a studiare violino all’età di cinque anni. Soltanto alcuni anni dopo intraprende lo studio del canto con Aldo Protti, perfezionandosi poi con Leone Magiera. Dopo aver vinto nel 1992 il “Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition” a Philadelphia, debutta - appena diciannovenne - nel ruolo della protagonista dell’opera Alice di Giampaolo Testoni al Teatro Massimo di Palermo Erede della migliore tradizione vocale italiana, dal 1997 canta con Luciano Pavarotti in oltre settanta concerti in tutto il mondo, dalla Royal Albert Hall di Londra, alla Carnegie Hall di New York, ma anche a Parigi, Miami, Dublino, Beirut, Seoul, Bucarest, Hochland, solo per citarne alcune. Dopo le prime scritture in ruoli del repertorio barocco - che le permette di maturare la cura per la parola – si dedica con passione alle opere di Mozart, cantandone tutti i maggiori ruoli da protagonista: Susanna e la Contessa ne Le nozze di Figaro, Vitellia ne La clemenza di Tito, Carmela Remigio Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Elettra e Ilia in Soprano Idomeneo. Ha interpretato oltre trecentocinquanta recite di Don Giovanni, sia nei panni di Donna Elvira sia in quelli di Donna Anna, ruolo che le ha dato l’opportunità di collaborare con Peter Brook e con Claudio Abbado, con cui ha inciso, giovanissima, una prestigiosa edizione discografica del capolavoro di Mozart per Deutsche Grammophon (1998).
