Ce travail est inédit car aucune liste des Symphytes de France n’a jamais été publiée. Nous avons appliqué pour ce travail les travaux les plus récents, notamment ceux de notre collègue français Jean LACOURT qui a fortement fait évoluer la classification des Tenthredinidae. Tenthredo balabatea ROHWER and T. eximia (KUZNETZOV-UGAMSKI) are removed from synonymy. Allantus xylota JAKOVLEV is found to be a subspecies of T. solitaria SCOPOLI (T. solitaria xylota (JAKOVLEV) stat. nov.). The following new synonyms have been found: T. reinigi MALLACH syn. nov. of T. haberhaueri (KIRBY), T. atra verticale MUCHE syn. nov. of T. echo ZHELOCHOVTSEV, Allantus semenovi JAKOVLEV and T. semenovi var. pleuronotata FORSIUS syn. nov. of T. sobrina EVERSMANN, T. variolata SAINI & SlNOH syn. nov. of T. dilaticornis MUCHE, T. mussoriensis TOGASHI syn. nov. of T. trochanterata CAMERON, and Perineura fulvitarsis ANDRÉ syn. nov. of T. trabeata KLUG. Lectotypes have been selected for Allantus filiola JAKOVLEV, Tenthredo atra verticalis MUCHE and Tenthredo sobrina EVERSMANN. Email: [email protected] Abstract Five new species of the genus Tenthredo Linnaeus, 1758 are described and illustrated from the Indian Himalayas. Which includes Tenthredo bandata sp.nov., T.clavata sp.nov., T. fuscata sp.nov., T. kalamunitopensis sp.nov. & T. nigrofuscata sp.nov. While compiling the Indian Sawflies Biodiversity (Vol. I), Saini (2007) included these new species only in the key whereas the detailed descriptions and diagnostic combinations of these new species were not provided in that compilation.With the addition of these five new records, the genus Tenthredo is now represented by 196 species from India. The genitalia are illustrated, and all these species are distinguished from related species. The population variation, if any, has also been discussed. Some records of Symphyta from other parts of Scotland are included. First records in the British Isles are given for eight tenthredinid species: Amauronematus mimus, Phyllocolpa alienata, P. erythropyga, P. plicalapponum, P. plicaphylicifolia, P. prussica, Pristiphora thalictri and Tenthredo ignobilis. A. mimus is also recorded from Ireland. Amauronematus stenogaster is removed from the list of British Isles Symphyta. Recorded for the first time in Scotland are one cephid (Hartigia xanthos- toma) and ten tenthredinids (Claremontia uncta, Dolerus brevicornis, Empria basalis, Empria parvula, Parna apicalis, Pristiphora decipiens, Pristiphora leucopus, Pristiphora testacea, Tenthredo mandibularis and Tenthredopsis ornata). Characters useful for the distinction of some species are illustrated. The type locality of Nematus herbaceae Cameron, 1876 is clarified.
