Applications may be inspected free of charge at the Office of the Traffic Commissioner in Leeds by any person who carries written authorisation to act in that capacity. Objections against published applications may be made in writing by a Chief Officer of Police, a local authority, a planning authority or a prescribed trade union or association within 21 days of the date on which notice of an application is published in Applications and Decisions. Objections must be made either on the grounds that any of the requirements listed in Section 13 of the Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995 are not met and/or that a nominated operating centre will be unsuitable for use as such. A copy of the objection must be sent by the objector to the applicant at the same time that it is sent to the Traffic Commissioner. The onus of proof in terms of the grounds on which an objection is lodged lies with the objector. You may fax a copy of your objection to 0113 2488521 but please note that you must send the original signed document through the post. Classification of Operator Licences – There are three classes of licence: A Restricted (R) licence authorises the use of a goods vehicle on public roads in Great Britain for the carriage of the licence holder’s own goods in the course of his trade or business. The licence holder cannot carry goods for other people for hire or reward; A Standard National (SN) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward, on public roads in Great Britain. He can also carry his own goods on journeys abroad; A Standard International (SI) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward. These activities can be undertaken both in Great Britain and on international journeys.     Heart of Wales Line Trail Route Instructions to Walkers Ammanford to Pontarddulais (14 km) 1. Leave Ammanford railway station, turn right into Station Road and left at the main junction. Turn right into College Street (A483) to walk through town, passing the bus station on the left, to the junction corralled by railings. Cross the road to proceed ahead along Quay Street, a pedestrianised area which leads to a sculpture depicting the mining heritage of the town. Go ahead again at the first roundabout, passing by the Railway Hotel, and through gates over the Amman Valley railway line. Continue to another roundabout and aim towards the bridge in Park Street over the River Amman. However, go right immediately before the bridge on a surfaced path alongside the river. Follow this down to the rear of the Tesco supermarket where you cut right across a road (currently a dead end) to join the walk and cycling route to Pantyffynnon which also happens to be the Fair Trade Way at this point. This runs along the back of the supermarket, then left alongside security fencing and the railway track. 2. You reach a junction. For those finishing a walk at Pantyffynnon railway station go over the tracks again and turn left for the station, about 5 minutes at most. Otherwise, go left at the junction to continue. If you are starting your walk at Pantyffynon railway station leave the platform next to the level crossing and go right along Pantyffynon Road. Look for a road off to the right across the railway line and keep ahead to join the main route.

The annex to this letter provides details of actions taken in response to the recommendation and the status decided by ORR. The status of recommendation 5 is ‘Implemented’. We do not propose to take any further action in respect of the recommendation, unless we become aware that any of the information provided has become inaccurate, in which case I will write to you again. Network Rail should review the current arrangements for providing an indication to the train driver of the status of the crossing at Llandovery. This should include consideration of the practicability of providing an active indication when the crossing is still open to road traffic (e.g. a flashing red light).

A Warriors side rather depleted the day after a hard match and heavy night, still played a full part in this entertaining game that helped Llanishen end their time at USK road before moving on to a purpose built 3G pitch next season. With 6 last minute withdrawals the Warriors had to reshuffle. Gwilym moving to scrum half at such moments has become standard but also moving out of the pack were Nathan Lawson at 13 and Jordan Jones at 14. Llanishen fielded a combined XV of 1sts and 2nds and set abut enjoying themselves. Cross kicks and ambitious passes were the order of the day but stout defence and some lapses frustrated them for most of the game. The Warriors dominated at times and the pack worked hard in rumbling forwards with Jenkins, Mark Lewis, Dai Haines and Richard Evans all going strong and man of the match Tomos Hall hitting ruck after ruck. Llanishen never looked like losing and crossed for 5 fine tries as they showed off their full range of skills. The Warriors got on the board in the 1st half when the elusive Andrew Davies wriggled through. The 2nd half was closer with Ben Winstanley turning through a pile of bodies and right at the death Davies followed up a scrum half break to bag his 2nd try.

He co-wrote Shropshire Tavern Tokens with Neil Todd and Andrew Cunningham. Emyr was a great one for swapping his tokens with others, buying lots, and then exchanging them for tokens he needed for his collection. This is why we find stray English, Scottish and occasional overseas tokens scattered amongst the Welsh. We tried in our last auction in June to separate these non-Welsh out but there are thousands of tokens and it will take us several sales to offer them all. So we’re only up to Glamorgan in the pub checks and up to C in the mining alphabetically. There’s lots more to come and Howard used lockdown well to catalogue them. We’re selling on behalf of the family so please, to those who’ve already asked, all tokens are offered at auction.
