Biographical Notes

IRINA BLOKHA, USSR: Born 1948 in the Ukraine. Her father is a worker, her moth~r, a doctor. She studied in Krakow, and then entered the Moscow State Conservatory in 1965 for study with Professor Vera Dulova. She is in her third year at the Conservatory.

NATALIA CHAMEEVA, USSR: Born 1939, Moscow. Both parents are engineers. She studied in Moscow at the Gnesin Musical­ Pedagogical Institute, and then took a post-graduate course at the Moscow State Conservatory under Prof. Dulova. She is an assistant teacher of the harp at the Moscow State Conservatory, and harpist with the Bolshoi Opera Orchestra. In 1963 she won 2nd prize in the national harp competition, and in 1965 won third prize at the international harp competition in Israel.

META JOY EPSTEIN, USA: Born in Valley Stream, N.Y. in 1951. (17 years old) Studied piano with her mother, concert artist Selma Epstein. Has studied harp with Mildred Dilling, Marcel Grandjany, and presently studies with Aristid von Wurtzler. She lives in Baltimore, Md. She has been performing since the age of 11, and has appeared in the United States and Europe, · and has recorded for Oslo Radio. In April 1968 she won the Aber D. Unger prize of the Baltimore Music Club, and in the summer of 1968 gave 11 recitals for Baltimore school children. G.3'/ Honor and Arms Handel Cornell MacNeil is an alumnus of Hartt College, where he made his opera tir debut in "The Frantic Physician." His distinguished career Cornell MacNeil has taken him to the Metropolitan Opera, where he is a leading baritone, to La Scala and to opera houses throughout the United States, Europe and baritone South America.

Allen Hoffman is a Hartt alumnus and a member of the Hartt faculty.
