BASIC DETAILS Pallikkara is a village panchayath in Hosdurg Taluk of Kanghangad in Kasargod district in the state of , . This place was once famous for its Tobacco plants until the late 1980s and the Historical landmark Bakal fort lies in this Village. A beach park near to the fort also attracts tourists to this place. Agriculture is the occupation of majority of the population. Income through agriculture related works, construction works are the main sources of income. GENERAL ACHIEVEMENT

CDS Chairperson Padmini is coordinating the Kudumbashree activities in Pallikkara panchayath. Under her leadership CDS committee meeting is convened twice in every month (5th and 25th). Just before these meeting CDS executive committee members conducting ADS meeting and collect the reports. The CDS executive members needs to present reports in the CDS meeting. The report should include ward level intervention and other is their self initiative and their subcommittee activities..

There are 65 Micro Enterprises were functioning in the panchayath. The units are under production sector, service sector, agricultural, construction and animal husbandry sectors. 15 individual and 40 groups are functioning as Micro Enterprises units. 4 units are functioning under Ksheerasagaram project. Cashew nut based units are functioning in Pallikkara panchayath. Nutrimix units and their value added production units are also functioning there. Blossom branded garments are producing in Pallikkara panchayath. Haritha Karmasena unit were also functioning in the Panchayath. 5 construction units and 1 consortium are functioning in the panchayath.

Joint Liability Groups- There is 290 JLGs were functioning in Puthuppadi. They mainly cultivate Paddy, Banana, Tapioca, vegetables and tuber crops etc. Total 40 Hectre of land were using for cultivation. Weekly, Monthly, Special markets were arranged in CDS along with Christmas and New year Market. So the JLG and ME team got a great market place for the sale of their product. In DDUGKY programme 25 students were completed training and 15 students got placed.

37 Balasabhas- The small groups of children under the age of 18 are functioning in the panchayath. Butterfly garden, vegetable cultivation fish farming, sports fest, Residential camp , day observations etc are some of the activities balasabha children engaged in the past years. ADS and CDS committee members were actively engaged and supported in Balasabha activities in panchayath. 615 children are engaged in balasabha activities in the panchayath.

Gender Resource Centre- functioning in Pallikara panchayath. 52 cases were registered in GRC till now. 19 counseling session were also conducted. Different programmes were organized in GRC like Rual women day , Mental health day, Girl child day etc. Community counselor visited house of NHG members and NREGS site to give mental health Support after the flood..

SPECIAL INITIATIVE  Ayurveda medical camp for Elderly NHG members  DISA, Kudumbashree School Cmapaign conducted in all NHGs and all NHG members were participated in Exam too  Karuthal campaign- 500 Kit including 11 products distributed  1100 women were engaging in MGNREGS programme  Mazhappolima- Agricultural fest was conducting in every year

BEST PRACTICES  Through Snehanidhi Project Health care support were given for Cancer and Kidney patients  Tour programme arranged for Snehitha Calling Bell support recipients  3 Crore rupees were distributed as JLG loan  2 Pakalveed are functioning in the panchaytah with the support of Kudumbashree.

EFFORTS DURING COVID AND FLOOD TIME

CDS committee members and Kudumbashree members were actively involved in the after Flood activities in the panchayath. 197000/- Rupees were contributed to CMDRF. Kudumbashree team participated in house cleaning activities, collected food materials, cloths and other needy items for the camps. Mental health supports were provided by the community counselor. During the Covid outbreak CDS committee take initiative to conduct Community Kitchen. 3 months it is functioned in the panchayath. Kudumbashree Members actively participated in the community Kitchen activities. Janakeeya hotel was started as a continuation of Community Kitchen activities. Mask were produced by the ME units of pallikara CDS and handed over to different organization and institutions. 700 masks distributed in free of cost. Food was supplied for Snehitha Calling Bell Support recipients during covid time.

MOST SATISFYING EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL COMMENTS OPINION/FEEDBACK/COMMENTS/OBSERVATION OF CDS CHAIRPERSON According to CDS Chairperson Smt. Padmini “Tour programme arranged for Snehitha Calling bell support recipients was one of the most satisfying experience in my life. The happiness saw in their face and their experience sharing moments was really memorable. Along with this as a CDS chairperson I was able to provide job to a most deserving girl in our panchayath through Athijeevanam Programme. This made happen with the convergence of Panchayath Smaithi. Convergent action and activities always gives best results. Panchayath Smaithi always gives good support to Kudumbashree Activities in Pallikkara panchayath.
