They are connected to one another, maintaining state-of-the-art facilities such as anti-earthquake, explosion-proof, and climate-control system to protect important national records. National Archives of Korea 28 Establishment of Records & Archives Policies and Support 29 ● Attached Archives 03 History Repository • The History Repository as the dedicated institution for national records management in the Yeongnam area preserves the important historical records of the modern and contemporary era including 848 volumes of the Taebaeksan copy of the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty. • The remodeling of the stock rooms was completed in April 2010 securing spaces that are 50% larger than the previous one and improving their efficiency, preservation and security capabilities for records management. • In October of 2010, the exclusive room for the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty" which are listed in the Memory of the World Register was opened, commencing its services as a place for the better understanding of the Annals, expansion of the records culture, and education and culture for the youth.
