Synonyms Cd30l, Cd30lg

Fusion Partners Spleen cells from immunized SD rats were fused with cells of the P3U1 mouse myeloma cell line.

Specificity Rat anti Mouse CD153 antibody, clone RM153 recognizes murine CD153, also known as (CD30 ), a 40 kDa type II transmembrane protein belonging to the TNF superfamily.

In the mouse CD153 is expressed primarily on activated CD4+ve T cells. The interaction of CD153 with its ligand CD30 is reported to enhance the proliferation of anti-CD3/CD28 co-stimulated T-cells.

Clone RM153 is reported to block the functional binding of CD153 and can be used to inhibit the binding of murine CD30 to CD153 (Shimozato et al. 1999).

Flow Cytometry Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul.

The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind non-specifically to cells expressing low affinity Fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR (BUF041A/B).
