Bab 1 Pengenalan 1.1: Pendahuluan Bantuan Pembangunan Rasmi (ODA) Jepun yang pertama ke Malaysia bermula pada tahun 1966 apabila bantuan teknikal disalurkan kepada sebuah agensi di bawah Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia yang merupakan institut latihan dan penyelidikan kesihatan bagi memenuhi keperluan perkhidmatan kesihatan negara.1 Tidak dapat dinafikan dalam konteks mana-mana negara yang baru mencapai kemerdekaan, bantuan dan kerjasama ekonomi dari negara-negara asing amat diperlukan untuk menggerakkan projek-projek pembangunan sosioekonomi ekoran kekurangan modal domestik. Accompanying His Majesty were His Majesty’s eldest son and brothers, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah. Shortly after arriving, His Majesty received the royal salute, as the sound of a 21-gun salute resounded in the air, followed by the national anthem. PEMBINAAN JALANRAYA DI DUN KATIBAS (164) YB Datuk Ambrose Blikau Anak Enturan bertanya kepada Menteri Pembangunan Infrastruktur dan Pengangkutan: (a) Adakah Kerajaan bercadang untuk membina jalanraya: (i) dari Nanga Banjor (rural road) ke Nanga Engkuah dan terus ke Lanjak Entimau Wildlife Sanctuary Nanga Beloh; dan (ii) dari Nanga Musah ke Ulu Musah (Sungai Mataalau)? (b) Adakah Kerajaan bercadang untuk menyelenggara jalan kecil seperti Projek Jalan Kampung, Timber Rehabilitation Road dan sebagainya? I wish to inform Ahli Yang Berhormat for Katibas that: (a) (i) Currently there is no immediate plan to implement these 2 road projects namely the proposed road from Nanga Banjor to Nanga Engkuah and onwards to Lanjak Entimau Wildlife Sanctuary that is in Nanga Beloh; and (ii) Proposed road from Nanga Musah to Ulu Musah (b) For the maintenance of Jalan Kampung Road and the Rehabilitated Ex-logging Road for which road reserved has been acquired.
