Format available DRAMA YOUTH PROFILE: VANESSA GAZY – WRITER & EXECUTIVE PRODUCER Eden is about a mysterious town that feels very much like paradise but when a young girl disappears it unravels the complex secrets and the mystery at the heart of this town and its inhabitants. We wanted to create a show that is tonally mysterious, it has a darkness to it but also a humour, it is a heightened reality full of metaphors about what it means to be human. At the heart of this story are the characters but Eden is also set in a unique and unusual world, there is a mystery at the heart of the town – a world that is influenced by nature and the location itself which is very much another character in the show – it is unsettling and uneasy at times. What the show really looks at is the veneer of paradise and what really lies beneath it. 10 11 HIGHLIGHT SERIES HIGHLIGHT The sense of warmth and community, now more than ever, “ feels nigh on irresistible all creatures The Daily Telegraph ” Great & small Based on the worldwide Mrs Hall: Anna Madeley (The Child in Time, Patrick Melrose) Helen: Rachel Shenton (Switched at Birth, White Gold) best-selling novels Mrs Pumphrey: Dame Diana Rigg (Victoria, Game of Thrones) Writer: Ben Vanstone (The Last Kingdom) Fresh out of Glasgow Veterinary College, Director: Brian Percival (The Book Thief, Downton Abbey) Producer: Richard Burrell (New Tricks, Silent Witness) James Herriot follows his dream to become Executive Producers: Colin Callender, Melissa Gallant, a vet in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales.
