On Saturday Unitec held the annual Sounds in the Sun at their Mount Albert Campus, which has been the cornerstone of their Orientation since 2006. The all day event is the countries biggest orientation event with a line up consisting of some of NZ’s top acts including Katachafire, Tahuna Breaks, Pieter T, Ddub, Soloa Rosa and many more. The questionable weather didn’t stop the crowds from grooving, dancing and enjoying themselves all afternoon. Student President Ben Kevely says, “The line-up is filled with a number of high quality acts and this is what makes Sounds in the Sun really stand out from other Orientation events.
